you should have known not to eat the delicious looking mushroom. you know tighnari has given you several lectures on the visual descriptions of poisonous mushrooms. but you didn’t realize that this new type of mushroom would disguise itself to look like a starshroom.

it didn’t kick in immediately, only a few minor stomach aches, but nothing bad enough to report. when you returned home, tighnari greeted you with a gentle hug and a kiss so soft you wondered if he pressed his lips against yours at all.

“how was your expedition?” he asked as you told him about all the little details. he nodded and his ears flicked every now and then. ‘so cute’ you thought.

when bedtime came around, your stomach started to ache a little more. however, you didn’t want to say anything in case you were being dramatic. you snuggled up to tighnari, who gladly accepted you into his arms. soon you both fell asleep.

a couple hours later, you awoke to a violent nauseous feeling. you trudged out of bed and towards the bathroom. slugging over the toilet as your stomach turned and twisted.

the first round came soon after. and you thought it would be the end of it. tighnari, however, being the light sleeper he was, was at your side.

“honey? you okay?” he rubbed your back gently as you shook your head. he placed a hand to your forehead, no fever… he felt your hands, cold… hmmm…

“didn’t you say you ate a couple of starshrooms on the way back?” he asked gently, continuing to gently rubbing your back to help you get everything out. you leaned into him, the energy ridding from your body as you nodded. “are you sure you didn’t eat the new species of mushrooms we discovered to look almost identical to starshrooms? the ones that cause nausea?”

you sighed, not really having the strength to think. tighnari’s eyes narrowed, and his ears placed behind his head. he could scold you later, for now, you needed medical help.

“i’ll be right back okay? stay here,” he says as you nod and lean against the toilet. he rushes to his stash of herbs, picking out certain ones and grabbing an incense he knew would help.

he comes back, you’ve probably fully emptied your stomach at this point. he kisses the top of your forehead as he places his mortar and pestle on the floor as he grinds the herbs. you lean against his side, whimpering in pain.

“‘nari…” tears fall down your cheeks as he wipes them away. he hated seeing you like this. he takes a bit of the mashed herbs and rolls it into a small ball. he softly grabs your chin and makes you open your mouth, placing the ball under your tongue.

“let that sit there and dissolve okay?” you nod and slug against him more, exhaustion and weakness capturing you as he picks you up bridal style. he walks to your bed and gently sets you down. he goes to the kitchen and grabs a glass of water. he comes back to you still groaning in pain.

“take small sips okay? you’re probably very dehydrated,” he says as he helps you take a few sips. you groan at the thought of something entering your stomach. the feelings hurting so badly. “hey hey don’t force it, lay down okay? i’ll look after you okay?”

he wipes the tears that fall again from your face, he places a wet towel over your forehead as you lay back. he kisses your face, which helps you relax a bit. he strokes your hair as he leans over to light the incense.

once he knows you’re asleep, he finds your bag. he fished out the mushrooms you had brought and examined it. he sighs as his predictions were correct. however, he didn’t think it was your fault cause this particular patch was very deceiving. he places the mushrooms on his desk as a reminder for tomorrow to put signs around the village and forest to warn others.

he was just sad you were the victim of this endeavor. but he’s also glad he was around to help you through it. he comes back to see you still whimpering, and he settles down next to you, gently pulling you into his arms. he kept you on your back as he gently rubbed over your stomach, making sure to not apply pressure. you cuddled into his neck as he kisses your forehead.

“i love you…” he whispers as he stays awake for a bit longer, making sure you didn’t have any other problems. he didn’t care if he would be tired in the morning, you were more important to him.

fun fact this is based off a true story. i got food poisoning and i’m just wishing i had tighnari to help me through it :(

Most likely places to meet him:

The train/bus. He keeps a pretty consistent schedule during school, so if you cross paths with him in the mornings or evenings it's most likely going to be on public transport.

Albedo does end up missing the night trains quite often though, or flat out just stays overnight at the school or a friend's dorm anyway.

However when he's taking care of Klee, he'll always make sure to walk her to school and home. You might see them walking down the street, Albedo holding her book bag while Klee excitedly tells him about her day.

The Coffee Shop. Especially on the weekends. Catch him with a 9am milkshake and a shitton of homework. Albedo isn't much of a breakfast person anyway so sitting in the cafes during the morning, sipping on coffee works well for him.

Once or twice he might have ended up bringing Klee to the cafe while he works, but he would prefer not to because it's not really an ideal place for her. Cafes are a bit boring for her and coffee isn't good for kids (he'll split a hot chocolate with her though)

In terms of games, all he has is 2048 and Talking Angela, but man he will spend HOURS on 2048. Talking Angela was originally for Klee but he ended up playing it too, especially the mini games. His Angela is only slightly neglected on occasion.

He has an SD card, so his phone storage isn't fucked by all the pdfs and scans he has on there.

His contacts don't really have any customization or unique names.

His wallpaper is a picture of nature, like a pretty cloud formation, the sunset, trees, etc.

His Clothes:

Albedo prioritizes durability, utility, and comfort over fashion. However, he does keep a few dress pieces because he gives lectures on occasion, and he also attends events for academic circles (kinda rarely) OR book events for stuff he's worked on.

Albedo tends to lean on the colder side, so most of the time you see him with some form of long sleeves or under cloth. Despite this he still likes to wear short sleeves so he also layers shorts and button ups over what's usually a plain and solid colored long sleeved item.

He isn't a major jewelry and accessories guy but mr kredeprinz (lol) does like gold as his metal of choice.
