a lot of people find birds unrelatable/hard to personify because they describe them as ‘robotic’ or unresponsive when people who love birds find their body language very clear and expressive. i think it’s interesting how many autistic people love & relate to birds and i’m guessing it’s something to do with that. birds can only be touched in specific areas, they have special rules regarding eye contact, and they’re often misunderstood when they use their beaks to explore the world around them and it’s read as biting. anyway i think it’s cool that birds and autistic people are United
