Desc: Jun-ho and you are partners in the South Korean police force. When he takes on the Squid Game case to find his brother, you come with him. Angst, fluff, coworkers to friends to lovers, stuff typical to Squid Game, some light misogyny, etc.

Word Count: 6.6k

"Oppa, the light is green." You shook Jun-ho awake, and he inhaled heavily, stepping on the gas. "We're almost there."

"Right, right, sorry..." He was awkwardly apologetic, not used to such long drives at late night. "I've told you before, you can just say Jun-ho."

"Modern times call for no respect, huh?" You answered slyly, but leaned forward in the seat.

"We're partners, Y/n. That means equal treatment and respect between the two of us." He glanced at you, watching you smile at that slightly. "It's not like you want me to call you Noona, right?"

You snorted. "I'm not older than you, but I get your point, Jun-ho."

He finally smiled, despite himself, as he continued to drive after the van that contained Gi-hun.

You had been appointed as his partner at the station a few weeks ago. It had taken Jun-ho a while to get used to it, even though he was such a young officer.

For one thing, South Korea didn't usually hire women for police work, as misogynistic as it was, and sometimes Jun-ho felt like that was for a good reason.

Women are physically weaker, and it's up to us to protect them, he'd rationalize. No collateral damage is necessary here.

Then Jun-ho had come into the station one day to meet you. You had stood your ground so firmly, about being his partner, you wouldn't even take no for an answer.

Now he was largely used to that, and he was glad to have you by his side. Despite some of the teasing that went along with having a female partner, Jun-ho knew you were the most resilient, street smart person he could rely on. He tended to see the bigger picture a lot more, while you were super detail focused.

But Jun-ho was still human, and as you drove through the night, he couldn't help but feel a small warmth in his chest, just from being close to you. He told himself it was because it had been such a long time since he had been close to any woman, so he just wasn't used to it, but either way it was hard to ignore.

Now you were sitting here, staring out the window. There were a lot of unmarked streets you had drove by, but you still wrote down every out of the ordinary, recognizable thing, anything that would detail the route out correctly to the other police.

“Remembering all the details is important for the report we have to give in.” You said, as you also jotted down everything that had happened so far.

Jun-ho knew you were clever.

------------

It had been at least three hours of driving, and you were losing patience.

“You think you still have the right vehicle?” You chortled, but one look from Jun-ho’s sleep deprived face silenced you. “Okay, I’ll drive now.”

“No-” He tried saying, but you unbuckled your seatbelt, and put your hand on the door handle. Jun-ho came to a stop instantly, sighing.

Sometimes you could be a little stubborn, and that was annoying, but he knew he had no right to talk. Falling asleep at the wheel would help no one.

You switched spots, as you clambered into the back seat and let Jun-ho climb over into shotgun, and then you made your way to the driver's seat. There was something intimate about having to do your work in the same place, and interchangeably moving around like this, the feeling of your presences everywhere, but it wasn't important enough to talk about right now.

You hit the gas, seeing that the minivan ahead had moved quite quickly, and your car drove even faster.

"Y/n- Jesus Christ, give me a second- this isn't safe!-" Jun-ho quickly buckled his seatbelt, and then buckled yours, his knuckles brushing against your stomach.

"Gotta move fast if we want to keep up." You responded, and he nodded. "Hey, there's some tteokbokki for you in the takeout box- it's in my backpack in front of you-"

Jun-ho opened it up, and smelt the wonderful sweet-spicy scent of gochujang, ginger, and garlic. The slight steam of the rice cakes made his stomach grumble, and he immediately skewered some and ate them.

"When did you have the time to get this?" He asked, voice muffled.

"Oh, I made it at home." You cheerfully replied, glancing at him. "I figured we wouldn't have time to get food."

"You're a great cook." Jun-ho murmured, and then looked towards the floor apologetically. "I didn't even get you anything-"

"Oh, stop that." You insisted. "You had to bring me along because I kept harassing you about it. This was the least I could do."

Jun-ho silently disagreed, because you were his partner and equal and all that. You were supposed to come along no matter what he said.

"Besides," You added. "If you really want to make it up to me, we should go out for soju after work someday. You know, as coworkers, partners? We've never had a happy hour."

"I mean, yeah. We should do that. Sounds fun." Jun-ho agreed.

He realized that yeah, he liked hanging out with you, and he did a poor job of being a work friend at least. But he kind of wished you hadn't said the coworker thing.

It would've been cooler under other pretenses, to go out drinking with a pretty girl, but he knew he wasn't going to say no to you regardless of the circumstances.

"Alright, cool." You nodded at him. "Sorry for being distracting. We should focus on your brother now."

Jun-ho agreed, but he clarified that you were a welcome distraction, and he drifted off to sleep.

------------

When you had arrived at the mysterious island, surrounded by other identical minivans, you had woken up Jun-ho, and hidden with him.

The next few hours after that were hellish.

"Listen- if I don't come back soon, go to the station and tell them what you know." He had explained, as you stayed hidden together, and you had shook your head.

"I can't just let you go!" You had reprimanded him. "All we know is that Gi-hun and your brother are in debt. That's not enough."

"I'll figure it out. I just… I don't want you to be unsafe because of me." Jun-ho had stared into your eyes for a few moments, and you felt like you were betraying him by staying. "Now go, or find a way in without me, because then I can't stop you." Those had been his final words to you.

Jun-ho had clambered into one of the minivans without you, despite your pleading to come up with a stronger plan, and a strange masked man in a pink jumpsuit had walked in.

From behind your bush, you had made out a scuffle, a real fight as the minivan shook, and a couple of minutes later, you knew that the pink silhouette that came out was not the same one as before.

It was Jun-ho.

He had found his way into the island, as several other pink masked men walked around. You had ended up losing him among all the others.

Then, a hand had yanked you out of your bush.

-------------

"I'm going to say this once. Leave these premises." Another masked man in a pink jumpsuit, with a monotone, robotic voice. His mask had a square on it.

"I…" You didn’t know what to say. Jun-ho hadn't told you why his brother was here.

The man scanned your ear with some machine, and whatever the result was seemed to unsatisfy him further.

A triangle-marked masked man walked up to his colleague.

"Number 14." Square Mask acknowledged him.

"Should I eliminate her?" 14 asked, brandishing a gun, and you realized he was talking to his superior.

Please say no, please say no, please say no. You stared at the ground, wondering what would happen if you brought up your badge.

"No." Square Mask replied sternly, and then turned to you. "I think we can bring her in for a few more questions."

And they both lifted you by your arms. Before you could even scream for help, Square Mask clamped his hand around your mouth.

------------

You were in a fancy lounge. It kind of looked like a bank, but honestly you weren't too sure. You had blacked out after they had taken you.

What kind of bank would willingly take on several people stuck in debt?

You tapped your feet together, feeling chilly in this well air conditioned room. 14 and 86, Square Mask's number, had brought you here and left you behind.

But as they had done that, they had placed you on this leather couch with such a perverse nature, their hands roaming across your body and legs as if they hadn't touched a woman in a long time, and it was then you had woken up.

You were terrified, but still an officer, and you were capable enough to become dead weight, which had stopped them.

"The Front Man will see you soon." 86 had sneered at you, and now you were here, utterly alone and scared.

You wished desperately that you and Jun-ho hadn't been separated, but there was nothing to do about that now.

Eventually, he arrived. The Front Man, dressed in all black, walking with a methodical nature.

His voice too was modified beyond recognition; and he sat in front of you, greeting you, the polygonal shape of his mask making it incapable for you to read any emotion.

You swallowed, feeling like you had walked into a cult.

"L/n Y/n." He stated, and you started in surprise. "What are you doing here, officer?"

You choked in surprise. "Uh- How did you?"

"Please. We've got our fair share of information here." He tilted his head at you. "Let's talk this out, shall we?"

You shook your head. "I'm here on an investigation. There is no reason for this conversation to be taking place."

"Perhaps I didn't make myself clear." The Front Man leaned in, and you were unnerved. "Local police officers of South Korea don't have warrants for these kinds of investigations. Nor do you have the ability to ask for back up. I'm aware you had a gun, a badge, and a cell phone, but these things are no longer in your possession."

He placed a glass on the table between you, and a decanter of wine. You felt your jacket pockets, and sure enough, 86 and 14 had removed your only defense.

"Listen carefully. The odds are against you. Any foolish actions, and you will be killed." He finally said.

"That's hardly legal." You tried, and he seemed to roll his eyes behind the mask.

"Does the way anyone got here seem legal?" He asked, and you realized maybe he was right. "You'll find as the days pass by, everything here is largely illegal."

You frowned at that, wondering why he was trapping you here. It sounded like this place had no qualms with death.

"I need a personal chef." He spoke quietly, and if not for the sheer perilous nature of the situation, you would have died laughing. "And you…"

He leaned in again, to caress your hand, and you held yourself back.

"You're just beautiful. Too beautiful to be wasted as a guard." He murmured, and you very nearly gagged. "They're going to love you."

"You don't even know if I can cook-" You attempted to argue, and he laughed, the strange robotic tone coming out in waves.

"That's just a title. Personal cook hardly means anything." He retorted. "Your real purpose is your beauty."

------------

It wasn't just a title. You spent most of your time in the kitchen, with a few other guards, and to your relief, the Front Man was too preoccupied to deal with you.

You gritted your teeth the whole time, though, hoping that the station would notice you and Jun-ho had gone missing. This misogynistic act, being a wealthy man's little toy to play with, was awful.

The Front Man made you wear a tight, pastel yellow, body-con T-shirt dress, and it just covered your ass, leaving your legs bare besides white knee high socks, and yellow sneakers. He also gave you a yellow chef's hat to wear, as if the rest of the outfit was what chefs typically wore, and as if you really were using that title.

He knew it was breaking your spirit. He seemed to get off on that, watching how you seemed humiliated into being subjugated by him. Insecure men prided themselves on putting down powerful women.

Despite the offers of fancy drinks, of good food from him, you chose to eat what the guards did, and at the same time as them, in their cafeteria. It was a safety measure, because the last thing you wanted was to get drunk and end up in a worse situation.

The Front Man didn't particularly care too much, but he was very specific in his lie that you were a chef, and you were there to work, despite how distracting you might’ve looked.

Today was the day of the second game.

You stirred heated sugar in a large pot, sweating, ignoring the jeering of a few of the guards. They could not handle how you were dressed, let alone how your skin was hot and shiny with beads of sweat, but they never went much farther than dumb comments.

Most of the guards did not care. Their masked faces were usually turned away from you, and as you worked on the dalgona candy, you had a strange sense of satisfaction.

------------

Eventually the more perverted guards realized you were not to be messed with. You didn't face any backlash for hitting their hands away, and you knew this was because you were being saved for someone, as the Front Man had alluded to before.

It was still helpful even if that was creepy.

You still wondered where Jun-ho was. In this place of masked men, you couldn't really tell which was which, and even worse, you could no longer recognize his build.

You wished you had your phone to text him. You wanted to make sure he was safe, out of danger, but knowing him, he was probably already putting his neck out on the line.

After watching the second game on the screens, you were horrified, watching the candy you had painstakingly made be the cause of people's deaths.

These vulnerable people were being forced to play childlike games in order to win a large sum of money, otherwise they'd die, and that sum only increased with every death, and you completely understood the severity of the Front Man’s statement.

Killing you was just a drop of blood in comparison to everyone else. Especially as a police officer, being in a place where legality seemed to have no power really showed you how entirely fucked the situation was.

This was the key thing you needed to remember when you got out of here, or if you ever would.

The building that this took place in was strange. Colorful pastel hallways and stairwells were made to confuse everyone, including you sometimes, and you had no idea where an exit even would be. It was like you were in a constant dream, following the guards, the bright colours swirling around your mind.

It had all the bells and whistles of a game show, but that was your inherent problem. Why all the fuss of creating such a place, with no one to watch it?

Again, you thought about how the Front Man said “they” were going to love you.

It was night, now, and it was time for bed. You watched the guards make their way to their sleeping quarters.

Unfortunately for you, you did not room with them. You had to stay in one of the lounge bedrooms, and it was here that you were afraid yet again.

The Front Man liked to keep you isolated enough that you weren't capable of making an alliance of any sort.

------------

For the third game, you were told to purposefully prepare less food. You had already helped make lunch boxes of rice, kimchi, and egg, but now you were being told to make just one boiled egg for each person.

You knew that wasn't enough, but it was still done, and it caused a huge riot among the players. As you watched the bloodbath on screen, with strobing lights, you felt an immense amount of guilt. Maybe if you had snuck in more food, this wouldn't be happening.

-----------

The second night.

You lay in your bed, wearing a long pink nightgown, knowing that the Front Man was doing game business stuff, which was fine. Anything to keep him further away from you.

This room was exquisitely designed, and yet, so many things were missing, like a notepad, or a phone, or even just a closet with things other than skimpy clothing, to keep your options limited. It made you feel homesick, and you wished you could just talk to someone normal again.

You wondered if Jun-ho was sleeping alright, if he was even capable of doing so. You were lucky, because your identity- at least, your face- was somewhat out in the open, and no one questioned it. Jun-ho was stuck pretending to be someone he never was, and with that came a lot of restraint.

You heard a sound, like someone had bumped into a table.

An intruder? You could not be sure, but at the very least, it had to be someone on your side. Everyone here was mostly against you.

You crept out of your room, as gently as possible, and walked down the hallway. You saw a man, brandishing a gun, and when he turned, you realized it was Jun-ho.

The realization dawned on his face, and he ran forwards.

"Y/n, Y/n! Holy shit." He pulled you in for a hug, tightly, his arms wrapping around you as if he would never let go, and it was here you began to tear up. You had missed him so desperately, and the sense of normalcy you felt with him could not be replicated. "I never knew you were here, oh my God. I thought you had gone back."

"...I tried so hard to find you, Jun-ho, but it was impossible." You replied, and he swallowed, feeling incredibly guilty.

“I should have never brought you here.” He spoke softly, with a quiet, apologetic tone, because he didn’t want you to witness anything here. “It’s my brother, not yours, and-”

“Stop that.” You couldn’t let go of him, even if you tried, and your arms were shaking. “It’s part of the job.”

“I wish this wasn’t our job, then.” He corrected, and let go of you, while still holding your hands. “Why did he keep you?”

You quirked your eyebrows. “I’m his ‘personal chef’. Well, actually, I just walk around in a stupidly tight dress, and occasionally cook. Apparently he’s saving me for someone.”

Jun-ho inhaled, the anger getting the better of him. It wasn’t just the blatant nature of taking advantage of you. It was more that they had no idea how capable you were, how you had surely already taken in all the details of this place, of the unethical moments that were clearly going to be apart of your report. If you seemed stubborn, headstrong, kind, and clever before, now you were clearly shaken.

"Are you okay? They didn't… did they?"

"Well… no, nobody has strictly done that." You muttered, shrinking in to yourself. "But… it's been bad sometimes.”

He held your face, gently pressing against your cheeks. “I am so, so sorry. You would’ve been doing normal cases if it wasn’t for me-”

“I’ll get over it, Jun-ho.” You said firmly, nodding at him, and he smiled gently.

“I’m sure you will. But you can’t blame me for being a little concerned.” He was quieter now, but he sounded so resigned. “You’re my friend, Y/n, well really, you mean more to me, but I can’t get into that right now. “

You were surprised at that, but let it go, knowing there would be a moment to talk about that later. You had just assumed the thing between you was all one-sided on your part.

“I can’t- I won’t let you think it’s okay to get fucked up for me. You’re not my sidekick, remember?” Jun-ho finished, looking into your eyes for clarity.

You felt such a warm degree of compassion and care towards Jun-ho now, despite having not seen him for a few days, and it only increased tenfold hearing him say that. That despite everything, you were still his equal, and his partner, and friend. He cared about you, cared about you enough that he couldn’t stop holding you, as if that in itself would protect you.

You wished desperately again, that you could go back to the normal times, but at the very least, you still had Jun-ho.

"Are you okay?” You asked, finally, hoping that he had a better time than you. “Besides all the crazy game show.”

"For the most part, yeah. The guards have a hierarchy, if you didn’t know, it goes Square, Triangle, and then Circle. Top to bottom. I took number 29’s place." Jun-ho stated, as you seemed to take in these facts. He suddenly shuddered, thinking about the horrors in the basement. "I saw some really unethical stuff that you don't want to know about."

"Tell me.” You crossed your arms, as Jun-ho sighed. “C’mon, it’s important for when we tell the station about this. Tell me.”

"Lots of organ harvesting from the dead players. You really don't want to know anymore." He answered, and you gulped, feeling ill at the thought.

"Anything about your brother?" You tried asking, hoping he didn’t find his brother’s dead body, but he shook his head.

"That's why I've come here. There must be records in the Front Man's office."

------------

As Jun-ho looked, you watched the door, knowing that it would be easier if you worked together in some capacity.

And, unfortunately for the Front Man, you had a perfect alibi now. You were allowed to be in here.

“Y/n… I think I’ve found something.” He motioned at you, and you came a bit closer. “This game has been going on for at least thirty years. Look at the first record book.”

It said 1990 on the spine of the book, and you swallowed in dismay.

“That’s fucked up, Jun-ho. That means this… this crazy game, like a circus of taking vulnerable people and forcing them to put on a show, has been happening for decades.” You spoke with determination, and he nodded, seeing how it was angering you.

“There were 456 people at the start of this current game.” He stated, and then did some quick math. “If we assume that they had at least that many people for thirty years, and a game happens every month or so-”

He grew silent, feeling disgusted, and you bit your lip, bracing yourself.

“At least 163,800 people have died, minus the winners. Maybe more, depending on how frequently the game happens.” Jun-ho finished somberly, and you shook your head in horror.

He kept looking, eventually coming across the book of 2015, and it was here that he gasped very loudly. You turned to look at him.

“My brother… won?” Jun-ho looked at you, confusion clearly apparent. “But where is he, then? What the hell?”

“Maybe he ran away?” You exclaimed, because this whole time, you and Jun-ho had largely been expecting his death. “Think about it. In-ho probably didn’t want to live with the grief of having… having-”

“Having killed so many people. Even indirectly.” Jun-ho finished, feeling like he didn’t have a brother. He had known about his debt, but not about this.

Suddenly, an alarm went off.

You were dazed from the sound, but you put it together. They were searching for number 29.

“Y/n- you gotta go back to your room.” Jun-ho began to push you forward, and you shook your head.

“I can’t leave you again-” You quavered, but he hugged you close and you felt your panic dissipate. “Okay, okay. Just promise me we’ll see each other again, Jun-ho.”

“Of course we will.” He squeezed your hand. “I’m not leaving this island without you.”

------------

You didn’t have to wait that long.

The Front Man finally made his first proper request of you, and it was astoundingly far worse than anything else you had to do so far.

These bumbling, American billionaires, if not trillionaires, needed to be served food, and now you understood who the game was for. The purpose was simply a bunch of rich men gambling over death, for their entertainment, and it was so obscene, you had to resist punching them in the face.

The VIP that was constantly glancing your way was pissing you off now. Not only were there no boundaries allowed, but he already had all the entertainment he needed from staring at the glass bridge game.

You guessed nothing was enough.

“Oh, waitress girl?” He barked, and you came towards him quickly, your new silver dress nearly exposing you, and flashing him. It was made with a deeper neckline than anything you had ever owned, and you swore when you got back home, you were going to be modest for the rest of your life.

“Be a dear, and salt my food for me.” He smirked at you, and you bit the inside of your cheek, trying to look as passive as possible. Your mask helped in some ways.

The VIP had placed his plate on the floor, and as you attempted to pick it up, he tutted.

It was evident now, he wanted you to bend over, to make a fool out of yourself as your body was displayed in this action for him.

You gritted your teeth, and instead bent just slightly, letting the salt fall from way higher than it normally would. The VIP clapped at that.

“Oh, you are just adorably feisty. Just wonderful.” He grabbed your arm, and sat you down next to him. “You’re staying with me, you tease.”

“I…” You shook your head in fear, not sure what to tell him. “I have to serve the other guests, don’t I?”

“No no no no, I don’t like sharing my treats.” The VIP jeered, and you frowned.

The other waiter, in a black suit and mask, the one serving the drinks, seemed to be a bit annoyed by the current situation. He had stopped offering drinks so frequently, and he was watching the game pretty intently.

If you didn’t know any better, you would’ve guessed it was Jun-ho.

“Oi, waiter! Come here.” The VIP next to you boomed. “You haven’t been serving me enough alcohol.”

“I also have to serve the other guests.”

Your eyes widened at that. It was Jun-ho, that was his voice, but you wondered how you were going to escape here. The Front Man was right there.

“Oh, you’re beautiful too!” The VIP hooted, and you looked at Jun-ho’s eyes, seeing recognition. This man was disgusting. “You two are both gorgeous. Let me see a little bit more of you.”

He attempted to lift Jun-ho’s mask, citing how stunning his eyes were, and he stopped him, saying that he wasn’t allowed to take off his mask.

Considering that the Front Man still had no idea Jun-ho was right there, it was a fair assumption to make.

The VIP suggested that the three of you would go somewhere more private, for his purposes, and he grabbed both of you by the arms.

He somehow missed the look that Jun-ho was giving you.

------------

The VIP had forced both of you to the ground, taking off your masks, asking to be satisfied in just five minutes. He had caressed both of your faces, and it made you reel with anxiety.

Jun-ho held your hand, and shook his head so minutely, you might’ve missed it if you hadn’t been focusing this entire time. You leaned forward, as if you were going to do it, and then Jun-ho squeezed his nuts.

The VIP shrieked in pain, and Jun-ho spoke quietly, raising his gun to the man’s head.

“If you can satisfy me in five minutes, I might let you live.” He spoke in English, and it left a strangely pleasant shiver in your chest.

Jun-ho handed you his phone, and you started recording.

------------

After that, the man had gone back to the main room, shaking, and Jun-ho and you quietly rejoiced about the evidence you had acquired.

“Y/n, what are you wearing?” Jun-ho took a glance, feeling utterly ill that they would make you wear a skimpy dress, but allow the male waiter to wear a suit. “Here, take this.”

He wrapped his suit jacket around you, buttoning it, so you wouldn’t be exposed, and you smiled at him, suddenly shy from how close his contact was. It wasn’t that you hadn’t ever been that close before, because officers were constantly just expected to sacrifice their personal bubble.

It was more that Jun-ho’s touch seemed purposefully affectionate, like when he had found you earlier. His hands lingered for a moment, as he fluffed the jacket against you, roaming against your waist.

Then, Jun-ho held your face for a few seconds longer, the moment stretching out, and you were about to ask what he was doing, but as if he couldn’t help himself, he kissed you, his lips engulfing yours with just the right amount of restraint, a very soft, gentle action in comparison to everything else that had happened. Like a modest, tentative attempt at showing you that he did really like you, and not in a greedy, superficial way.

Before you could even realize it was happening, Jun-ho moved away, but he was grinning like a child.

“Jun-ho…” You nearly reprimanded him, and he could tell from your tone of voice.

“Sorry. It just felt right.” He shrugged, and you pushed him, laughing. “I just couldn’t wait until we go for soju, okay? I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, and this stupid fucking case has made me realize that life is so short and heinous and we gotta-”

“We need to act fast.” You squeezed his hand, glad that you hadn’t been bothering him with your request of hanging out, and then kissed his cheek, enjoying how his face flushed. “We can talk about it later.”

You ran together, stealing two scuba diving kits, and came to the outside of the island. The water was murky, but Jun-ho nodded at you, and together, you began to swim. The Front Man definitely saw Jun-ho as you left, and Jun-ho explained that a chase was imminent.

------------

The island was surrounded by several other ones.

You and Jun-ho made your way, swimming as much as you possibly could, to the nearest other island, where Jun-ho was sure you could get a bit of a reprieve from the guards and the Front Man.

As you arrived, panting, you ran together, up through a forest of trees and rocks and many other things, and Jun-ho grabbed your arm, suddenly.

“I’m going to call the station now.” He picked up his cell phone, and dialed, and you gasped.

“T-They’re right behind us!” You grabbed his arm, seeing the guards, and the Front Man, and together you ran upwards, near one of the peaks of the island.

Jun-ho’s conversation with your superior was going really poorly. He explained that he needed backup, that everything Gi-hun had said was true, and from what you could see, there seemed to be a lack of service. Your superior could barely hear him.

You began to panic, as the Front Man and the guards approached.

Jun-ho pulled out his gun, and you stood a bit behind him, the edge of the cliff causing you to lean forward.

“Hwang Jun-ho. L/n Y/n.” The Front Man walked forwards, as Jun-ho clenched his fist. “Officers. You don’t have to do this, we can still talk.”

“Like bullshit we will.” You stood your ground. “You’re running one of the most illegal operations I have ever seen, and you want us to talk.”

“There are people coming for you.” Jun-ho added, his gun not wavering even as the guards began to point their guns towards both of you. “You’ll be sentenced for your crimes.”

“You don’t get good service out here.” The Front Man countered, and Jun-ho visibly deflated a bit, knowing his argument wasn’t solid.

“Don’t come any closer. I’ll shoot you.” Jun-ho yelled, and the Front Man sighed.

“You have one bullet left, Jun-ho. I know you’ve used the other two bullets already. The amount that South Korean police are allowed to have.” He chastised him, and Jun-ho fired the shot, hitting him in the shoulder.

The Front Man winced, and the guards pointed their guns again, but he motioned for them to stay back. Then, he pulled off his mask.

“Hyung.” Jun-ho spoke in disbelief, watching In-ho stare back at him. You both didn’t have a chance, because this was the very last thing you had expected.

“Hyung, why?” His eyes were tearing up, and you held his arm, shaking your head.

In-ho shot Jun-ho in the shoulder, the blood splattering across your body, and you shrieked with horror as you and Jun-ho began to fall backwards, off the cliff.

------------

You should have died.

Like in the game, all odds were completely against you. What were the chances that you’d survive the fall to the water, let alone Jun-ho being able to swim?

You sank to the bottom of the ocean with him, and began to rise up, shaking his body with the hopes that he wasn’t dead. Thankfully, he wasn’t.

Jun-ho was in a state of shock, and he would’ve drowned if not for your screaming to swim.

When the helicopter came, you were grateful that his location had at least gone through to the station.

------------

Jun-ho woke up with a start, feeling like he had dreamed some sort of insane, pastel adventure, akin to being stuck in Wonderland, except far more gory. He was hooked up to an IV in a hospital bed, and his left shoulder was heavily bandaged, while his arm was in a sling.

Then, a rush of memories came back to him. He had gone to the island to find his brother- his brother was a really bad dude- did the police know?- oh, speaking of the police, you were his partner-friend-girlfriend- did you come with him, were you here now?

He held his head, feeling sick, and you came in through the door of his room.

“Jun-ho, you’re awake!” You hugged him, careful not to touch the shoulder. “I thought you were going to be unconscious for a while.”

“I had to see you, obviously-” He was laying it on a bit thick, and you scrunched your nose, giggling. “I’m kidding. How long has it been?”

“Just two days.” You responded quietly, sitting on the edge of his bed. “Not sure if the station is going to believe us.”

“Why not?” Jun-ho was incredulous, and you looked up in surprise. “We have all the evidence, right?”

“We do. I’ve written out pretty well.” You opened up your laptop, and handed it to him, showing the report document. “But you have to admit it sounds kind of outlandish, no matter what we say.”

“...I guess you’re right. We’ll have to start a new investigation with them.” He was quiet, and then shut your laptop, putting on the bedside table. “I just want to- I need to make things right.”

“Because of your brother.” You mentioned under your breath, and he nodded. “Are you doing okay with… all that?”

“Honestly, Y/n, I’m not.” He held your hand. “I’ll get over it, though.”

“Don’t let yourself get fucked up for other people.” You reminded him gently, and he smiled.

“We’ll talk about that later.” He picked you up with his arms, strong man that he was, and he pulled you in to the bed as you squealed.

“Jun-ho, your shoulder!”

“A little pain doesn’t really matter.” He responded, and you laughed as he kissed you again, savoring that he would get to do this for a long, long time. “Maybe a good thing did come out of that cursed place.”

“Me?” You looked at him cheerfully. “You already had me, you dolt.”

“Hey, I mean that it gave me the courage to tell you.” He swallowed, nervous even though you were wrapped in his arms. “You said we could talk about it later, the first time I kissed you.”

“Oh, I did.” You thought for a few seconds, and then continued. “I always kind of had a thing for you, but I didn’t know how to bring it up. You know, as my coworker and partner, it didn’t really seem appropriate, and everyone was already teasing you for having a female partner, so I didn’t want to add to that, right?”

“So far you’ve just said all the reasons you didn’t bring it up, Y/n.” He chided you, and you jokingly groaned. “What do you mean, you had a thing for me?”

“You already know I do.”

“Yeah, but I wanna hear about it from the beginning.” He leaned forward, hands under his chin as he listened, and you smiled.

“Okay, okay. I thought you were too handsome to be a police officer when I first saw you- as my partner, that seemed to be really intimidating too.” You told him, as he grinned at being called handsome. “Shut up, you totally know you are. I didn’t really feel anything until our first watch.”

Jun-ho paused, thinking back to that moment, when you and him had waited in a car, for some petty robbery to occur at a bank. That was the night he had fallen asleep, and you had watched over him.

“You didn’t report me for that, even though I should’ve been, because I was sleeping on the job.” He remembered, and you smiled softly at the memory. “You even protected me by watching over me and the bank, Y/n. What the hell? Why would that make you like me?”

“It meant you trusted me enough to be there while you slept. And you have such a cute sleeping face.” You squeezed his cheeks, and he scowled jokingly. “Not a lot of men would be so normal with a female partner, but you were, and that’s what made me start liking you.”

“That’s like, the bare minimum. In comparison, I like you because you’re responsible and smart, stubborn, and really pretty.” He teased, and you shrugged, although you were blushing now. “So that’s why you asked me out for soju, but all ‘Oh we’re coworkers and we’ve never hung out’?”

“Yeah, but I guess I was still testing the waters then. Didn’t want to make it sound too out-of-bounds, you know?” You replied, and he agreed.

“Let’s go out for it now.” Jun-ho suggested, and when you shook your head, he looked downcast, these great big puppy eyes making you laugh.

“Okay, okay. We’re not supposed to leave the hospital yet, but I’m sure they’ll make an exception for you.” You gave him a pointed look, and then kissed him again, running off to find the nurse.

Jun-ho put on his jacket, grinning, already feeling better.

ೃ⁀➷✎

"Right guys, that'll be all for today! See you guys in a bit!" You just finished recording a video for your main channel, turning off your camera. You loved your job, even if you had to deal with a few haters from time to time.

You went on Twitter and scrolled through your notifications, seeing comments from fans, edits, and art. You smile liking them all and commenting on most of them. You come across a particular video, the tweet tagging you and someone else. That someone would be wroetoshaw. You knew him as he was also a big YouTuber and also from a YouTube group called the Sidemen. You occasionally watch them and find them funny, but you don't know them personally.

"Okay, this question is for Harry," Simon says, looking at his phone. "Who is your celebrity crush?"

"I'm pretty sure I've said this, no?" Harry replies, rubbing his chin.

"He has, and trust me, he's her biggest fan," Ethan laughs, JJ agreeing.

"Man watches her videos the second it comes out! That's loyalty right there," JJ points out, smirking.

"Well, let the people know then!" Vik says to Harry.

"Alright, alright. If you don't know, it's Y/N Y/LN and if you don't know her, get a life." The Sidemen chuckle at him, shaking their heads. You never knew that the Harry Lewis had a crush on you.

"She's going big time now, y'know?" Tobi looks at his phone and shows your YouTube channel. "20 million subscribers?! We could never," he chuckles, shaking his head.

"Only 7 mil away," Josh sighs, everyone, laughing at him.

"We should get a collab with her. Like a Tinder video or something," JJ shrugs, while Simon shakes his head.

"Nah, pretty sure she isn't into that stuff," Simon replies. "But anyway! We need to get on with the other questions." You look at Harry's disappointed face but it quickly changes to a smile. Then, the clip ends there.

Then you had an idea. You wanted to meet these guys and get to know them better. So why not make a video with them? You find their business email and give them a simple message, asking if you wanted to do a collab. After you send it, you go to your bathroom finally getting ready for bed...

ೃ⁀➷✎

A FEW DAYS LATER — 12:54 PM

48 hours after you sent that email, a reply came back saying that the Sidemen would love to collab! So you planned your outfit as you wanted to make an impression, but stayed a little casual.

When you got to the place where you were shooting, you were confused as to why there was a castle. Later you found out by Kon that you were all filming a hide and seek video.

Once the others got to the castle, excluding Josh as he had COVID, you waiting for the final Sideman to get here.

"Where is Harry?" you chuckle, Tobi shaking his head in response.

"Man goes to sleep at 4 in the morning and wakes up at 5, probably still in bed," JJ shrugs making you laugh.

"Harry doesn't know you're coming though, so that'll be a surprise," Ethan says to you.

"There he is!" Vik spots him parking his car. Harry comes out of it and you couldn't be more blown away.

Obviously, you knew what Harry looked like but there was something about him today. And all he was wearing was a blue hoodie with joggers.

Even better looking in person, you thought to yourself.

When Harry finally looked up from his phone, he spotted you. His eyes widen at the sight of you, making you giggle.

"LOOK AT HIS FACE!" JJ laughs, starting the camera.

"What— How the fuck?" Harry looked clueless, his eyes still glued to yours.

"She didn't ask for a collab to see you ogling her. Introduce yourself," Simon pushes him towards you. You raise your eyebrow, smiling at the confused boy in front of you.

"Well, I'm Harry. I'm sure you've heard," he chuckles, making you do the same.

"Well hello there, Harry. I'm Y/N!" You put your elbow out to touch it with his as he complied. There was still a global pandemic going on, so you all had to be careful.

"Alright, let's start the video lads," Tobi tells one of the cameramen to start recording. Before someone does the intro, Harry passes you a camera and stands next to you. Then JJ gets in the middle and projects his voice.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to a hide and seek in a castle!" You and the boys cheer, gassing it up. "It's gonna be crazyyyy!" Then, Ethan does the classic Harry put as you chuckle. "Today, Ethan is hide and seeking—."

"Seeking. I'm seeking the hiders," Ethan corrects him.

"Yeah that," JJ chuckles.

"Wait a minute, where's Zerkaa?" Harry asks, looking down at you. Then all the boys turn towards you.

"There he is, there he is!" Vik points to you and you smile, waving at the camera.

"Oh, Josh!" JJ shouts as you laugh."

"You're looking kinda nice today!"

"Yeah! You're not looking old and you look prettier!" JJ exclaims as you giggle. Then you remember that Josh has corona, so you cough on your hand imitating you had it. The boys turn away from you, disgusted as you all laugh together.

"Guys! It's your turn to hide in a castle!"

"Woahh!" You all shout and cheer.

"Go, go, go!"

You could tell Harry wanted you to follow him so you went with him and Vik. You three run to the side of the castle and find an entrance there.

"Alright, I got a sick plan," Vik says to the both of you.

"You've got a sick plan?" You reply, interested.

"Yeah, do you wanna go see it?" You and Harry both nod. "It's gonna go wrong but..."

"Oh no, are we going to ruin our own plan by following you?" Harry groans, making you giggle. Harry glances at you, smiling.

"No, no it's a good plan! Just wait." The three of you go through three sets of doors until you find another room. It looked like a wedding hall to you.

"Okay, so in here..." You and Harry follow Vik across the room, where he goes through some cupboards. "Right, this is a Vikkstar hiding spot. Now this one—"

"But do you not fear that he's going to open that straight away though?" Harry questions as he records Vik.

"So that's— I've factored for that Harry." Vik goes to another door. "So I'm gonna watch from this window here-"

"Yeah."

"I'm gonna see once he's checked that cupboard," you realise what he's talking about and open your mouth.

"Oh my God! That's amazing!"

"Yeah, I'll go in after!" Vik shrugs and smiles at you. "And why would he check it twice?"

"True, very true," Harry agrees. Vik goes behind the door and closes it, peering through.

"Alright, can you guys see me?"

"Nah, not really," Harry replies, squinting his eyes.

"You actually can't see me?"

"Barely," you reply, giving a thumbs up.

"Cool! Alright, good luck guys!" Vik waves you two off as you go towards a set of doors.

"Thank you, my friend!" Harry shouts back, as you two run through the doors. "Alright, do you actually know where we're hiding?" Harry says, looking at you.

"Me? I've never been here before in my life and you expect me to have a hiding spot?" you exclaim, looking at your camera.

"Well, you've done all sorts of things haven't you?" He asks. You both enter a hallway and stop to catch your breath. "Like hiding in a cruise ship?"

"Yeah but we had someone chasing us," you chuckle, remembering that video. "We need to find somewhere closed off, like abandoned or something."

"There's a ton of rooms upstairs?" You nod and you were about to go up the stairs when Harry stopped. "Let's stop recording for a sec." He turns off his camera while you do the same.

"What's up then?" You ask, looking at him. Harry looks up, looking confused. You give him a look and he sighs.

"Did they embarrass me yet?" He huffs, leaning on the wall. You giggle at his expression.

"If they did, I probably wouldn't be near you right now," you reply, hearing a sigh of relief.

"How'd you agree to do a video with us anyway? I'm pretty sure we annoy every female YouTuber." You laugh at that.

"They're either hate you or a simp for you," you shrug, "I mean I'm pretty sure Corinna Kopf is in love with you."

"Well, are you one of those simps?" He asks, a smirk playing on his lips. You raise an eyebrow, looking at his smug face.

"Who knew you could be this flirty off camera?" You bite your lip, smiling as he gets off the wall.

"Well, I'm only flirt around girls I actually like," he chuckles, making you speechless. You tried not to show that you were blushing and turned around, clearing your throat. Suddenly, you both heard a voice from outside. You both go to a window, seeing Ethan running towards the castle.

You both look at each other with widened eyes as we start our cameras again. "Already?!" Harry grabs your hand and starts running towards the stairs in front of you.

"Oh my God, he's actually here, bro. He's here," Harry panicked as you laughed at him. You were both running for your lives until you saw the cameramen coming inside the building. You stop Harry and hide behind a wall.

"What—?" You put your hand over his mouth, looking toward where Ethan is. Harry spots him and understands.

"I feel like I've run a bloody marathon," you whisper to your camera as you remove your hand from Harry's mouth. You could feel Harry's gaze on you, as you kept watch for Ethan. You glance at Harry as he quickly looks away, making you chuckle quietly.

Once Ethan went towards the front desk, Harry glances at your hand your eyes, asking for permission. You nod and let him lead the way up the staircase, trying not to make a sound.

"Guys, an update, we haven't hidden," Harry says to his camera as quiet as possible.

"We're trying to!" You whisper to your camera. You spot a room at the top of the stairs. "Go there!"

The both of you jog inside the room, quietly closing the door behind you. You look around, seeing other doors in that room. "Ooh, this looks kinda promising," Harry says, glancing at all of the doors.

"Can we go through there?" You ask, seeing a larger door. Harry shrugs and opens it, revealing a bigger room inside.

"Oh, yes!" He exclaims, going into the room. You follow him, looking amazed. Then again, it was a castle. "We are in the money!"

You sit on one of the chairs, raising your eyebrows at how soft it was. "My God," you mumbled, tracing your hand over the wood.

"What, you gonna buy it?" You look up and see Harry smirking at you. You realise he hints back at the time you stupidly used your money to buy soft furniture, finding out later it was a waste of time.

You roll your eyes. "Come on, like you haven't used your money recklessly before?" You hint back, smiling. You were hinting back at the time Harry used his money to buy a Lambo. He then had to sell it because he couldn't afford the insurance.

"Oh you bastard," he groans, sitting on the sofa opposite you. "I was young, alright!" You laugh, standing your camera on the table.

"So was I! Plus, mine wasn't that extreme, so—"

"Okay, sure but £100,000 for home decor? Just 'cause it was soft?!"

"Nah, I'm not having that—"

"Actually, people who are watching, in the comments vote who was more reckless," Harry laughs, sitting back.

You grab your camera again, giving Harry your middle finger. "Guys, I was 16. Don't at me, alright?" You sigh, flipping your hair to the side. You hear some noise coming from somewhere in the room, making you stand up.

"Alright, we actually have to move now," Harry stands up and looks around.

"We need to hide. We've just been walking around this place for half an hour," you chuckle. You go back to the door you came through and open it. "Maybe in one of these rooms?"

Harry looks back at you and shrugs. "I'm sure it'll work, right? I mean, it's Ethan who's seeking. He's gonna take 5 hours."

"Imagine slandering your best mate like that," you shake your head at Harry, making him sigh.

"I'm the youngest, I'm allowed!" He shouts, making you laugh. He then opens another door, leading to a very small room. "Here?"

"What's in it?" You ask, walking over to him.

"It's just toilet paper." He goes into the room, picking up the jumbo pack. "We could hide underneath it or something?"

"What like a toilet paper fort?" You giggle, putting your camera on the edge of the wall.

"Yeah! There's like a 76.5% chance they won't see us," He says, putting his camera next to mine.

"Right, put this one over there," you say handing a pack of toilet paper to him. He puts it where you told him to put it. "Then this one, like in front so we have space to sit down."

"What like this?" He asks, putting it the wrong way.

"No, a bit to the left..." He puts it the wrong away again and you sigh, looking at Harry. "That's the left—"

"Wait, you sit in the middle." Harry points to where the middle is and you squat down. "Okay, we'll put this here..." Harry puts a toilet paper stack in front of you.

"And then, get the other one..." He gets the other one and puts it on top of the first one, making it look like a barricade.

"We got it!" He shouts, putting his hands up. You laugh at him, patting the spot beside you. He just manages to squeeze in but gets a little squashed.

"Wait, I'll move my legs here—" You put your legs on top of Harry's, both of you sitting opposite each other now.

"This is cosy," Harry mumbles to you, looking into your eyes. You giggle, grabbing your camera again. Harry gets his phone and puts his flashlight on.

"Alright guys, basically, we've made a little fort," you say, showing the camera what you did, "but it's so uncomfortable."

"Can you lot see the predicament we're in here?" Harry says, grabbing his camera as well. "Can you see the— look at the fucking state of this!" He rants as you couldn't hold in your laughter. "What— don't laugh at me!" He groans, making you snigger even more.

"I can't help it! This was your idea anyway!" You wipe the tears away from your eyes, stopping yourself from giggling even more.

"Yeah, but you supported it. You should've told me to stop." Harry leans his back on the corner of the room, wincing.

"I don't think we should've done this. He's gonna see us straight away." You look at the camera, pulling your scrunchie out of your hair. You put the scrunchie on your wrist and flip your hair back.

"Ah, fuck," Harry facepalms himself, making you giggle again. "This is so painful as well— I can't be asked." He stops recording, but you keep yours on by accident. You thought you turned it off. "While we're here then, we might as well get to know each other better."

"Go on then, what's your full name?" You ask as he rests his arms on your legs. He ponders for a minute, pulling his signature pout.

"I think it's..." You dramatically gasp at him.

"You can't even remember your own name?!"

"It's like 5 words! I'm trying to remember—" He then grabs his phone and goes on a few apps. You tilt your head at him until he shows you his screen. "Apparently, it's that."

"Harold Christopher George Lewis?" You read aloud, raising your eyebrow. "Mine's only 2 words."

"Don't you have a middle name?" He questions.

"Oh yeah! It's Y/M/N, right?"

"Don't ask me, mate. I only met you half an hour ago."

"Yeah, but apparently you're my biggest fan," you tease as he makes eye contact with you. "Sidemen stans have been tagging me in all sorts of videos, y'know?"

"Oh, my God the cheeky bastards," Harry curses as he hid his face in his hands. You giggle as he looked more embarrassed.

"Calm down, it's cute!" He looks up, gazing into your eyes again.

"And you're not just saying that 'cause you feel bad, right?"

"No, I mean it," you say sincerely. People would describe Harry as an awkward guy, but so far, he hasn't been awkward at all.

"Okay, okay." He pulls his head out of his hands and runs them through his hair.

Even in the dark, he can look this attractive, you thought, smiling to yourself.

"What?" He asks, pulling yourself back to reality.

"Nothing!" You say too quickly. He chuckles and tries to get up. You tilt your head as he grabs his camera, starting to record.

"Fuck it." He holds his hand out for you and you take it, stepping out of the cramped spot. You stretch your legs out. "Right, we're going elsewhere, we're going elsewhere," he says to the camera. "This was a shit hiding spot." You shook your head at him as you let him lead the way, having your camera in your other hand.

"Where we going now then?" You ask as you quietly go down the stairs.

"Oh, Vik! Let's go to him." You nod your head, looking behind you to see if anyone was there. Then you carry on to the dining hall you were at 45 minutes ago.

ೃ⁀➷✎

Both of you snuck in, closing the door slowly. Harry spot the cupboard Vik said he was hiding in, opening it.

"What— he's not here." Harry looks in the other ones as he lets go of your hand. You rub your hands together, trying to make them warm.

"Vik? Vik!" You whisper yell, as Harry searched the rest of them.

"He's not in here," Harry says, looking confused as I am.

"Well, we need to go. They might've already found Vik," you say, glancing at the windows above you.

"Or, we stay here?" Harry looks under a table and saw that it had enough space for both of us. "Just for a bit."

"Why not?" You chuckle, crawling underneath the table. Harry joins you after.

"Okay, so we are where Vik told us to go..." Harry crosses his legs, showing both of us in the camera. "And I'm pretty sure we're both crippled."

"We're hiding in tiny places so you guys can get content. Remember that," you point at the camera as Harry laughs.

"Y'know what though? I'm glad we moved locations," he points out as you nod. "I never do that in hide and seek normally."

"Feeling exhilarated?" You joke, seeing Harry smiling at you.

"You have no idea." Harry stares into your eyes, making your heart flutter. Like you thought before, there was something about him today that made you feel... happy.

"While we're here, what's your favourite colour?" You ask, feeling bored.

"Well, you're not a true W2S fan if you don't know my favourite colour," he replies, raising his eyebrows.

You giggle. "Well, I know it's blue, but do you know mine?"

"It's Y/F/C, right? That's definitely right," Harry says, confident. You chuckle and nod.

"That is correct. Favourite sibling?" You look at him, smugly.

"Oh, you can't do that!" He groans, laughing at the same time.

"Come on! You must like someone more!" You joke, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

"Nope, I love Rosie and Josh equally. Even if they piss me off sometimes," he chuckles. "You're an only child, aren't you?"

"Unfortunately," you sigh. "Being the only child can be alright, but it just gets lonely y'know?" He nods, huffing.

"I'd be bored to death if I didn't have those two," he sighs, making you giggle. You then hear some noise from outside, making you turn your head. "Have we been found?" Harry's eyes widen as you both get up from beneath the table.

Then the door opens, revealing Vik then Tobi. "Shit—"

"We've found you, but we're not giving you up 'cause I'm on the run," Vik quickly says, running to find a spot.

"You what?" You were confused, as was Harry.

"You're on the run? What's happened here?" Harry asks Tobi.

"I'm not on the run. I've found you guys."

"What do you mean you found us?— Where did you find us?" Harry questions.

"What— right now! Right here!"

"Oh, wait have you been caught?" You follow the guys, wherever they were off to.

"We've been caught, but I'm hiding again," Vik says while getting into the cupboard.

"Fair enough. We're going in here then." Harry jogs over to an abandoned-looking spot, while Tobi helped Vik.

"Alright, Vik's in there. Harry and Y/N are actually doing the ghosty ting... And I'm just an accomplice," Tobi says, while you laugh.

Harry jumps into— well, something and you peer in, seeing dust everywhere. "Uh, I don't know if I wanna go in there..."

"Oh come on, Y/N, don't be a pussy," Harry teases. You tilt your head and scoff, tying your hair up with your scrunchie.

"Fine, if you insist." You sit on the edge and Harry pulls you down. You were both extremely close but remembered that there were cameras recording you, so you pulled away. Tobi leaves with Kon and the cameramen, so you were both alone in this weird looking space.

"Did rats gets to this place or something?" you mumble to yourself, turning your phone flashlight on.

"Maybe this was a bad idea..." Harry mutters to the camera. You turn around, recording Harry.

"And apparently I'm the pussy," you smirk while Harry rolls his eyes.

"Shut up, you," he says playfully standing beside you. "Why are we in here?"

"You literally just said and I quote, 'we're going in here then' and called me a pussy for not going in!" You were amazed at how Harry was dealing with this right now. It was honestly adorable, yet confusing.

"Yeah, but I didn't think it'd look this creepy!" He raised his voice, making you laugh. "Nah, I'm getting out of here— I'm not doing this today."

"But—"

"Nope, I don't get paid enough for this." You raise your eyebrow as he hesitates. "Well, getting paid decent for this, but not enough to sit in this room."

"Hear that guys, he's being ungrateful," you whisper to the camera, loud enough for Harry to hear. He sticks his middle finger up at you, making you snigger.

You climb out of the hole and shake off all the dust on your outfit, Harry following suit. You pull the scrunchie out again and follow Harry, wherever he's off to. "Okay, the hide continues," he says to you, while you chuckle.

Both of you open some doors and they reveal a white staircase. You go up first, looking up to see if anyone is there. You shake your head at Harry and he follows, mumbling something to the camera. You run up around three floors until you find a hallway of rooms again.

"What's in here?" you mutter, peeking inside one of the doors. You felt Harry against you but ignored it.

"Are all the rooms just fucking empty?" Harry shouts, stepping inside.

"What kind of castle did you guys pick?!" You laugh.

"Well this one has a maze or some shit for our second channel, but it doesn't grow during the winter, so this is all a shambles," he sighs, running his hand through his hair. You look around and spot another doorway, going toward it.

"Harry, what if someone's in there?" You point. He jogs in front of you and points his camera at the entrance.

"Anyone in there? It's Harry and Y/N, we're not seeking!" He shouts, waiting for a voice back. "No? Okay—"

"Right I'm not staying here," you say, going back to the empty room.

"Not today spirits!" Harry exclaims, making you laugh again.

You leave the hallway of rooms and find the main staircase, peeking down the middle. "D-did we win?" You chuckle.

"I think we've won, mate!" Harry smiles at you, looking successful.

"Let's just stand in a room until they find us," you say, going back to the room you were in.

"What will we do though in the meantime?"

"Make TikToks," you joke, making Harry shake his head.

"Right, off we go then."

When you guys go back to the room, you put your cameras in a corner and sit in the middle. You get your phone out and go on Instagram, recording a video. "Right, so I just met this guy an hour ago," you show Harry who's on his phone, "and we're waiting for the other nonces to come and find us." Harry laughs at that, covering his mouth.

"I can't be bothered anymore, lass," he says looking at you. You giggle and post the video on your story, knowing it'll stir something up until the video comes out. "Oh my God, the fans are gonna go crazy with this one."

"I know, that's why I posted it," you smile, making Harry chuckle.

"Ah, 'cause you're a little drama queen is that it?" he says sarcastically. You stick your tongue out at him, making him snigger even more. You put your phone away, yawning. "Aw, is Y/N tired now?"

You roll your eyes, resting your head on Harry's shoulder. "Piss off, I'm a busy woman," you mumble as you feel Harry's arm around your waist.

"You're releasing new merch this month, aren't you?" He asks, you nodding in response. "You gonna give me a hint about what it is?"

"Well, it's a collab with a big clothing company. You can guess who it is." You smile to yourself, loving that Harry actually wants to find out about you.

"It's not gonna be Nike or something, is it?" You shake your head, looking up at him. "I don't know much clothing brands mate so you might as well tell me."

"Nope," you giggle, "the cameras will hear." You point to where the cameras are and hear Harry say oh. "You're gonna have to wait, Harold."

"Well then," Harry says, acting like he's offended. You take your head off his shoulder and look at the time, seeing it's past half one.

"Should we go down? They're taking ages!" Harry nods and gets up, giving you hand. You both get your cameras, Harry filling in what we're gonna do.

You both get to where the posh room is (where the soft furniture was) and saw there were sweets on the table. You smile and took a packet of Haribos, giving a pack to Harry as well.

"Who left these here?" Harry ponders as he opened it, putting a sweet in his mouth. You stuff the Haribos in your pocket for later as you weren't that hungry now. Then, you heard the door open, turning around to see Vik and Tobi at the door.

"Where have you two been?" Tobi asks, amazed. You and Harry look at each other, shrugging.

"All over the place, lad," Harry replies, eating another Haribo.

"Right, well you guys won, so let's go down 'cause they're fed up now," Vik chuckles, leaving the room.

"To be honest, we thought Ethan and JJ would find us easily, seeing as there's nowhere to hide here," you say, shuddering at the cold.

"They were lost today," Tobi laughs with you as you all make your way downstairs. You heard some of the other three Sidemen laughing at something.

Once you get to the main entrance, you saw JJ and Ethan sitting down on chairs and Simon standing in front of them. Tobi speaks first, chuckling.

"Alright, you lot lose innit?" He says as he points at you and Harry. The boys cheer and JJ and Ethan get up.

"No, we found them! Ayo, we found them! We found them!" They were both chanting, hugging and filming us.

"No, you lot were gonna leave us up there weren't you?" You exclaim, making them all laugh.

"We were never getting found! We were never getting found!" They were all arguing and laughing with you as they joked around. You were holding your belly from laughing too much.

"Discount code is..." Ethan starts, looking at all of you.

"Looking," the boys say, except you and Harry, "looking."

"I hate my friends," Harry says to you, making you giggle and the others laugh.

~~~
You were getting to your car when Harry stopped you from going in. You turned around and smiled at him, wondering what he wanted.
"Hey, I don't wanna waste your time or anything but..." He paused, looking into your eyes. You were trying not to shiver from the cold and chuckle at him.
"Just ask me, Harry."
"Sorry, it's just that I had a great time with you today and I was wondering... If I could have your number?" He mumbled the last bit, looking away. You giggle and shake your head, taking his phone off him. You type in your number and save it as 'Y/N💗'.
"There you go." You hand his phone back and smile, about to go into your car when he stopped you again. He turned you around and gave you his hoodie.
"Come on Y/N. Better I freeze than you," he chuckles, you shaking your head. You put the blue hoodie on, instantly feeling warm. You take your hair out of the hoodie and look up at Harry, who was still gazing at you.
"Thank you. I had fun today!"
"One more thing— Sorry." He holds your wrist and takes your scrunchie off it, making you tilt your head in confusion. "You take my hoodie, I take your scrunchie," he shrugs. You roll your eyes and get in your car, waving him off. He smirks at you before going to his own making you feel butterflies. You peeked out of the window, seeing all of the guys teasing him and messing around with him. You smiled and looked at your steering wheel.
Today was eventful.
