"you're telling me you never had feelings for me back in the good old days?" druig laughed with an eyebrow raised, looking at you with doubt. you could only chuckle at his words and shake your head, but you knew he didn't believe you.

this wasn't the way you expected your reunion with druig to go, but it's not like you cared. you were just happy that you were able to see him. he was your best friend for thousands of years while you protected the earth from the deviants together.

"oh, come on. there was a spark back then. you've gotta admit it." he continued, bringing you out of your thoughts and back to reality. the two of you sat together on your couch, laughing and reminiscing on the memories you shared together. though he always did enjoy messing with you like this. "if i say yes will you shut up?"

he went silent for a moment, "no."

you laughed at his words. knowing that he had feelings for you a long time ago didn't make things awkward for you now. it wasn't like those feelings were still there.

druig hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. he couldn't quite remember how long it had been since he had even been this happy, but he knew this emotion always came out whenever he was around you.

as you looked at him, eyes shut as you laughed at something he said. head thrown back, laying on the arm of the couch. your hand was on his shoulder and the touch set him on fire.

he hadn't ever fallen out of love with you, but he'd also never tried to. he knew no one else would be you, so he didn't bother trying to make non-existent feelings look like they were true. he found no point in that.

"you're so.. perfect." he muttered under his breath to where he thought you couldn't hear, but as soon as h finished his sentence you froze and turned your head towards him instead of the show you'd been watching as you talked. "what?"

"nothing. that was the wind." he stammered, cheeks red as they always got whenever he was embarrassed.

"do you.. really still think that highly of me?" you mumbled, avoiding his gaze. you didn't understand what he'd seen in you back then and you still didn't now. even though he looked at you with so much love in his eyes, you wondered what he saw in you. "i do. i always have." druig told you, lifting your chin up with one of his fingers to look you in the eyes.

"i meant it when i said it. you're perfect. you always have been."

you tensed under his touch, not expecting such a heartfelt confession. you felt a pang in your heart as you looked at him. you hadn't ever thought of him as anything more than a friend but the way he looked at you and the way he held you was so gentle, so filled with care and admiration that it made you feel something new entirely.

"if i asked you out, what would you say?"

"i'd say yes." you said without a second thought.

"then, will you go out with me?" he chuckled, tucking a lose strand of hair behind your ear with one hand. you felt your face heat up at the intensity of his gaze, but you nodded.

"yes."

𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐀𝐖𝐊𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐋𝐘 in the middle of the setup, bright white lights practically blinding him. Downing his beer in his hands, he attempted to calm his nerves in preparation for this video.

He could hear his friends laughing into his earphone, a muffled voice of JJ saying “Harry, chill! Yo, Harry chill out man!”

Throwing down the beer can, Harry groaned in frustration and nerves. “This is the worst day of my life, like- like honestly, I don’t want to be here.” “I would pay all I have in my account to not be here right now, but I’m here.” His chest rose and fell into a loud cry of all the emotions he had kept in to until now.

Hearing his friends laugh at his antics hardly helped to boost his confidence for the video, but he knew it was going to be a big hit. I mean, talking to a few attractive girls, what’s the worst that could happen?

You walked onto the set, now feeling slightly suffocated by the amount of white lighting they had included for the backgrounds.

Harry turned his gaze to you, not expecting such a beauty to walk in. His mouth fell agape for what he believed to be less than a second, but turned out not to be as he could hear the people behind the cameras and his friends laughing hysterically at him.

The closer you walked towards him, the lower his gaze got. The side camera got a clear shot of him checking you out not so subtly, Harry quickly looking away as he knew how much shit he would get for it later.

You smiled sweetly at him, knowing your instructions of not revealing any information about yourself for now. You couldn’t lie, he was gorgeous. Now feeling an intense amount of stress of being rejected by this handsome man, that would just be humiliating.

Harry’s heart practically burst when you smiled at him. If this was a cartoon, his character would definitely have huge heart eyes right now.

He gulped and without any hesitation, he spoke nervously “Yes”. You let out a sigh of relief as he said that one three letter word. Giving him an awkward thumbs up, you said a quick goodbye beginning to walk off.

“Only if, If only you, I mean you don’t? Fuck!” He yelled out at the end after attempting to fix his mistake which wasn’t even a mistake, stumbling over his words infront of you.

“Harry!” Ethan yelled into his ear piece, howling at the nervous wreck on the screen. Harry completely crumbled to the floor, letting out a cry of embarrassment.

Not only has he embarrassed himself already infront of the public, but the pretty girl he had just seen.

Wiping your sweaty hands on your jeans, you walked as slow as possible to the ‘destine to be awkward’ room.

Waddling over to the place you dreaded most, you tried to come up with any conversation starter, or any awkward silence fillers, literally anything rather to suffer this labelled worst date ever.

Harry knew it was you next, he had been waiting for this one the entire video since he last saw you. And when you decided to stay with the other 8 women, the boys had never seen Harry happier.

Realising the point of the video, Harry panicked and alerted the boys. “Boys, boys, please!”

“What?” He heard the voice of Vik speak questionably into the microphone.

“Please, please! I swear if you fucking dare!” Harry growled comedically into the earpiece.

“Oh shit! It’s the one he likes next!” He heard Ethan yell, the sound on stomped was heard immediately after, assuming they had all jumped up and down in amusement when they realised they could make this man’s life hell.

Seeing your figure enter the room made all his friends laughs seen muffled to him, it was as if someone pressed play on George Michael’s ‘Careless Whisper’ as he watched you walk his way.

Wait, no. JJ was actually playing ‘Careless Whisper’ through the microphone to Harry’s earpiece.

You leaned over to Harry, shaking his hand firmly as eye contact act wasn’t broken. “I’m Y/N” You greeted.

“Hi” Harry sighed out, tilting his head at you, completely mesmerised by your beauty. He could hear the sidemen laughing at the lovesick man but Harry actively decided to ignore them, making them laugh even harder.

You smiled at his face full of adoration as his gaze was fixated on you, “You’re Harry right?” You questioned, starting a conversation with the pretty man opposite you.

Harry’s cheeks stained a rosy blush at the way you said his name making a soft smile fall onto his face. “Yeah, yeah that’s me!”

“So what do you do?” He questioned you as if you two were on a real date, he felt easy with you, like words just fell out his mouth before he had time to protest.

As you two had a genuine conversation with flirty remakes hidden in there, JJ wouldn’t not stop pestering Harry to scratch his ass in the middle of a conversation. Each and everytime Harry ignored it.

“Scratch your fucking ass Harry!” JJ screamed into the microphone making Harry flinch in his seat.

Noticing this, you asked “Are you okay?” He nodded convincingly but pointed to something behind you, “What? What’s that?”

You turned around looking for what Harry had seen. While you turned, Harry ripped his earpiece out and threw it behind him just in time for you turning back. The hysterics the sidemen were in were unbelievable.

Harry just smiled when you asked what he actually saw and continued on with what would be one of many dates to come in the future.

summary: Mitch and you have been asigned to a mission together but what you didn’t know is that the barkeeper but a weird drug into Mitch’s drink that suddenly makes the cold hearted agent fall head over heels for you and now you’re the one trying to figure out how to get the old Mitch back while also trying not to fall for this suddenly cute acting man.

It wasn’t the first time that you were asigned to a mission with Mitch Rapp and it definetly also wasn’t the first time you got more than annoyed by the way he acts. 

Mitch is too confident for his own good, not only in the way he looks but also his abilities. Yes, he is a great fighter and excellent at finishing every job he gets, but he is also arrogent and the most moody person you have ever met, which is why working with him is harder than with any other agent. 

“I told you to be more sublte but no of course you had to go straight forward and get our cover blowed up. 

“Well at least I did something. You just stood around and let a random man touch you up.” 

“A random man? It was our target and I only flirted with him to get the information out of him.”

Mitch scoffs and shakes his head. “Yeah sure, just for information. God, you really think I must be stupid? I don’t even know why I keep on getting paired up with you on these stupid missions when all you do is mess up.”

What you learned from working with Mitch- and also from talking to Stan- is that no matter what he says, you should not let it get to you. Sometimes it’s hard, but when you work in a job like this, words from a agent with noticeable issues are the last thing that hurts. 

“You know I just wish you would wake up and leave this fucking arrogent side beside you, cause not a lot of people have the patience that I do and someday youo will work with someone that will beat you up so hard after comments like that,that you won’t be able to walk anymore.” You take one last glance at the mirror before turning back to Mitch. “And now let’s go. We have a mission to fullfil.”
