This ship was quite special in its time. It had a design that no one thought up of until the 1870s. Sadly, Atlantic would never know the true impact he had on shipping. On April 1, 1873, he ran aground in Lower Prospect, Nova Scotia. He sank 20 minutes later, dragging around 550 people with him. All the women died and only one child lived, an 11 year old. What makes this story sadder is that Atlantic was basically lost to history until not too long ago when Titanic: Honor and Glory released a documentary about the sinking and the ship himself.

In my universe, Alvin is a timid one. He’s usually in the background in any photos taken of him and his siblings. He didn’t feel any different than his father and mother, whom was never found. What he did feel was awkwardness. He didn’t like the fame that he got and would usually hide. On that night, he was worried about the giant storm raging around him that he failed to notice the rocks. His siblings wept for him and every April 1st, visited his gravesite.
About the picture, the pic itself took me about an hour to do. The hardest part was the details. I think I did pretty good. :3
