Too lazy to redo these posts so yea reblog is enough

(updates on the knife and the coat + future plans)

So here's the knife fully done, with rivets (hammered nails) holding it together

The coat locket thing (I used a plastic headband which I sandpapered, painted gold and added little hooks )

The coats pattern (I used frisket and white acrylic)

Lil quipus I made with wool for the suit

And for the rest;

-tomorrow I'll work on the odradek with my stepdad

-i started sculpting a mask using whitemorph plastic but it's really hard so I'll see if I can use a mold or something

-i have an idea for the armour, based on a belt + suspenders, I'll put fabric around some polystyrene/foam and it should work fine

-idk how to make Amélies necklace :(

-idk if I'll make a tutorial for the Odradek bc it'll be a bit complicated so I'll just send some pictures of the process if it works out

So I made Higgs' cloak by hand :)

I looked on the web for long and never found any guide do I thought I'd make it myself

I'm going to make a full cosplay of Higgs but I'll update this post or reblog it as it goes :3c

Anyways here's how I proceeded for the cloak

So first of all : I didn't use the model from the game because it would've been to hard to remake and probably wouldn't work ;

Here's the in-game shape

It's basically a square of fabric that is held back by his Odradek, you can guess with how the hood is part of the cape

And here's my edited version

Im not an experienced cosplayer or sewer so I went for something that wouldn't move too much, by separating the hood and the cape (and made the two points symmetrical because I thought it was prettier )

In total I paid 45€ for all the fabric I used :

2×2 metres of duchess satin for the outside (it has a nice reflection effect and it's solid enough it's great!!!)

2×2 metres of simple cotton fabric for the lining

And 0.05×15 metres of golden ribbon

So first of all I made a pattern our of newspapers and adhesive tape;

I wanted it whole in order to try it on on my shoulder but half is probably enough

Measurements were 120cm for the horizontal length and for the vertical it depends on your height and how you want it (mine is 130cm and goes down to below my knees, I'm 175cm tall)

I cut the main fabric (duchess satin) to try it on and adjust as needed

Then I cut the hood shape in the main fabric (it's easy to find patterns online if you want a specific shape )

Sew both hood sides together only for the back and top of the head !!
