Meets and saves Fyrkoen, who Freki finds passed out in Southern Thanalan (after the whole Ifrit thing). Initially comes and goes, offering help and guidance, but by the time of storming Castrum Meridianum, Freki more regularly sticks by Fyrkoen on his adventures. The two have a very close friendship, which Freki asks for it to be romantic on more than one occasion, before ultimately conceding that friendship is best for them.

Found unconcious in the Shroud by a butler of Lady Amandine a few years before the calamity, Freki has no memory of his past. With a mindset of living in the moment, he finds himself not as bothered about it than everyone would expect him to be. He's more curious about nightmares he's been plagued by of an armor-clad figure on a horse. Getting his bearings and fitting in well with wealthier Gridanians that would attend to business with the Amandine's, Freki found himself enjoying the life of luxury and that it coincided with his hedonistic outlook. Not to mention how easy he finds it to seduce information out of others. He finds it easy to gather information and access to secret circles through flirtation and flattery while also making sure others are aware that he's known as a Count.

At the risk of being a huge bitch on main... well... sideblog, I REALLY hope they stop making expansions free content. Everything pre-ShB (or more specifically Dohn Mheg and earlier) is SO ROUGH, because people have no idea what they're doing and don't listen when you try to advise them. They're fine wasting other people's time, because hey they're not paying a sub, so why should they care? We got people doing only small pulls in dungeons. We got tanks not using cooldowns and healers not healing. In ARR stuff we got DPS's that don't get they shouldn't be the ones running ahead and doing pulls. We got children in trials that don't understand that when adds show up, you've gotta focus them down. And worse are the influx of troll accounts where they go into dungeons, raids, trials, etc. and just intentionally wipe and ruin everything. Though that's more of a broad issue, because I've run into that last one A LOT when I get specifically Aglaia in alliance roulette.

And yeah, I'm on Dynamis DC, but this happens whenever I'm playing on Crystal, as well. Maybe I should try on Primal to see if it's different there?

Meets Fyrkoen in passing towards start of story, but doesn't join until HW-post story. His most unique ability is a strong aetheric sensitivity that he has been forced to get under control. He can channel it into conjury, but also he can become attuned to someone's aetheric signature if around them enough. To the point that he can essentially sense someone's vague direction, going so far as to sensing well-being if around someone truly long enough. Fyrkoen is where this becomes most apparent, since they stick together nearly all the time once Bright makes it a trio. As a child of Ala Mhigo, he was learning basics of Monk training, until the occupation forced his family apart. He and one of his sisters escaped to Thanalan with other refugees, being forced to leave his parents and other sister behind while he was still very young. A complicated, difficult upbringing of survival, resistance, and forced complacency under the monetarists pushing him into the Bloodsands to keep himself and his sister safe. Standoffish and reserved, he gradually comes out of his shell a bit more over the course of the adventure, to the point that, especially when in his PLD gear, people assume he's the Warrior of Light between he and Fyr.
