I'd like to add on that this mostly applies to cooperate/career jobs. Entry level jobs at restaurants tend to be a lot more laid back and chill, and chances are your interviewer won't be much older than you. Plus they're most likely only asking these questions because they have to, they're most likely trying to gauge if you'll actually show up to the job and do the work. Also a general vibe check to see if they'd be able to tolerate working with you.
