“Checkmate.”

The hero’s blood runs cold. Dread crashes into them, but no matter how much they stare at the board, they just can’t comprehend the loss. They had thought they had everything under control. Everything was meant to go their way.

“Sloppy,” the supervillain sniffs, throwing one leg over the other as they settle back in their seat. “A flimsy strategy. You neglected your defence in favour of charging head first across the board. Your traps were poorly crafted; I saw them coming a mile away. Really, doll. I don’t know why you staked your life on chess, of all things. It’s clearly not your strong suit.”

The pieces become a swirling mess in their vision, and they have to scrunch their eyes shut just to force themselves back into reality.

“I don’t understand,” they shakily whisper. “This is a mistake, you must have—”

“Keep your word, doll. You’re mine now,” they smirk easily, rising to their feet with a cold glint in their eye. “So, kneel.”

Why do divorce men turn gay after divorce?

Finished my werewolf sketch-dump on Halloween, just getting around to posting. Point was to loosen up a bit and also push the body horror aspect. Kinda got a little addicted to the fur though. Didn't quite reach what I was aiming for so I may revisit this.

Shout out to @nataliehall, I did draw inspiration from your work. Just to say this is a sketch dump, I'm trying to push my limits in terms of design.
