Bodily autonomy includes the right to do drugs. Yes, even the drugs YOU think are bad and scary and dangerous.
People absolutely deserve access to free, compassionate recovery resources, but ONLY if they want them and find them useful.
You have to understand just how many "rehab" programs are effectively prisons, cults, or both. You have to understand and be compassionate toward the reasons behind self-medication. And above all else, you have to LISTEN to drug users about what is actually effective, useful, and wanted aid.
Otherwise you're just part of the problem.

Art by @elgrajaz of his ocs creepy guy and Becker. Creepy guy is such a charmer <3 And this time Creepy guy has a wing man to help a litte human captive act right. This couldn't possibly go wrong. Ch 10 of Overcome is up, get it while it's hot.
“How far do you think you ran?”
“Um.” Trouble’s frown pulled to the side, brow furrowing as he tried to remember. “I don’t know. It was just more and more forest.”
“You didn’t see any signs? Nothing?”
“No. I couldn’t find any roads or other buildings either, and I was running as hard as I could. I knew he was behind me, chasing me.”
“So...you ran and ran until he caught you?”
“Sort of.” Trouble whimpered and flinched, hearing a phantom snarl that made his stomach turn over. “I looked over my shoulder, to see how close he was and I tripped. I couldn’t get back up in time to run again.”
“What if you weren’t alone the next time?” Paul knelt and reached for Trouble’s wrists, then hesitated. He put his hands back in his lap, thinking. “I have to get home, and I want your help, but you had that knife before. How do I know you won’t try to hurt me again?”
“I already told you, I didn’t mean to.” Trouble lowered his ears and whined softly. “I wanted to scare him, so I could get away. I swear. I’m sorry if I hurt you at all.”
“I...” Paul sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I have to get out of here.”

Art by @elgrajaz of Trouble. He enjoys getting handsy with his food. The roped up cowboy, Paris, is a former victim and an oc of the artist. Gotta read Revenge if you wanna find out what happened to Paris. Ch 11 of Overcome is up on Ao3. Git you sum.
“Eff?” he whispered, looking up at him with a small smile.
“What is it?”
Trouble motioned with his free hand for F to lean in closer.
“What’s the matter?” F’s brow was furrowed. “You’re so quiet. Are you tired, or thirsty?”
This time, Trouble tangled his fingers in F’s hair as he pulled him into a kiss. It took a conscious effort to be gentle; he was so accustomed to biting. When F returned the kiss, Trouble whined softly, lips parting. He shivered as F’s spicy scent flooded his nose and mouth. His fingers slipped free of F’s hair so he could drape an arm around his neck instead.
“Hey.” F pulled back enough to get word out, leaving them both panting into each other’s faces. “You’re supposed to be restin’.”
“‘M lying down,” Trouble replied at once, ears relaxed back and eyes glassy.
“I meant,” F tried to straighten, but the arm around his neck flexed to keep him close, “you shouldn’t be movin’ around.”
“Then don’t make me,” he mumbled. “Come lie down.”
“What?”
“Eff.” Trouble wanted to sigh as F tensed up, but he stroked the side of his neck instead. “Don’t you like kissing me?”
“I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You’re not,” he insisted, smiling. “You won’t.”

me at any given time: can we just buckle down and focus on the task at hand please???

about to drop literally the sickest insider knowledge you will ever receive pls use it responsibly:
are you a teenager? do you wish you had the space & resources & organization to do a thing, whether that's an anime club or a movie night or a big craft workshop or creative writing group or literally whatever? would you like to do your thing totally for free? yes?
okay, then bring it up to a librarian
seriously, teenagers are the absolute hardest group to engage at most libraries & we'll often organize programs that absolutely no one will show up to & it sucks. if you go up to a public librarian & say "hey, some friends & i want to do this thing. does that sound like a feasible teen program for the library?" most people will move heaven & earth to pull it off for you because we know there's an interest in our community. we will go balls to the freaking wall to make it happen
do you want a cosplay contest? a video game tournament? a free escape room? bring it up to the library. it's not a burden or an annoyance at all. it'll be like christmas came early for us
