because in some people's eyes, transitioning kills the person you were before. Family may even mourn the person you used to be. However, if you don't transition, there is still a death. It's just a death of who you could have been. Even if that person is not as real to others, it is real to you, and you can feel them suffocating inside yourself.

it's so frustrating bc a lot of the things they SAY they believe should make them natural allies to left movements but there are just. no actual principles there, no willingness to actually ACT on those supposed principles unless it's on trend, and it's so depressing

there are exceptions to this, but they're rare. please reflect on what your actual fucking values are and then behave in a way that aligns with those values!!

unfortunately I think for a lot of liberals the strongest value they hold is "seem like a good person" and I'm sorry but that's a totally different game than actually making the world even a tiny bit better!!

I’m amazed there’s people nostalgic for highschool and being a teenager literally when I feel super low I think “well at least I’ll never be 17 again” like a positive affirmation and it does make me feel better
