“Nari, stop jumping on mommy’s bed, please.” You sigh, folding her laundry and placing it in her drawers. You could hear Jimin encouraging your growing girl to ignore your pleas and continues to allow her to bounce on the bed.

The giggling child continues to jump on yours and Jimin’s bed, happily hopping from one end of your bed to the other. It hasn’t been long since she started enjoying the make-shift trampoline, almost always jumping on your shared bed every chance she got.

Nari hasn’t always been the type to play around like this. If it hadn’t been for your husband coaxing her to start bouncing on your bed a few weeks ago, you wouldn’t constantly be worrying that she’d fall.

“C’mon Nari, look jump, jump, jump!”

Just by the sounds of Jimin’s voice, you had a feeling he was capturing the moment on his phone, recording your daughter’s giggles and her bouncing figure as she continues to play.

“Jimin,” You called sternly, still folding your daughter’s laundry and eyeing your husband.

“She’s fine, jagiya.” He calls over his shoulder.

“Jimin she might fall between the beds!”

The layout of your sleeping arrangements was the biggest concern for you. You wouldn’t have minded if there wasn’t a chance that Nari could hurt herself, even though she’s a great walker, that didn’t mean that she was good at catching herself when she gets off balance… And jumping up and down isn’t exactly the most stable activity. There was a small space between your bed and hers; because you didn’t want to press her crib right up against the hard bottom half of your bed, you opted to the small space between, that way, if she wanted to crawl out of her crib in the mornings to lay with you and your husband, she could.

Probably not the safest sleeping arrangement, but you and Jimin loved snuggles with your little girl… How can you not have her bed close to you two?

As you sighed again, turning around to place the last piece of clothing into Nari’s drawers, you heard a loud thump and shortly after Nari’s whimpered cries filled the room.

“Oh fuck.”

“PARK JIMIN!” You shrieked, whirling around to see Jimin pulling up a tear-stained Nari from—you guessed it—between the beds, just like you warned him about.

“Are you okay, sweetheart, where’s ouch?” Jimin coos soothing the whimpering baby in his arms.

“Yeah, he-hewe,” Nari pats the side of her head and cuddling into her father’s chest. Jimin pouts rubbing her temple and placing a soft kiss against it.

“Did I not tell you two to stop?” You crossed your arms staring at your sheepishly looking husband.

“She was having so much fun!” He whines, still stroking Nari’s head, her sobs quieting down into sniffles. You sighed sitting down next to your little family, gently taking Nari into your arms and rocking back and forth, rubbing her back gently.

“All good?” You pulled away, wiping the tears off your toddler’s cheeks as she nods gently, “Are we going to listen to mommy now?”

Nari peers at her dad from beside you who was smirking and shaking his head at her, causing her to replicate his actions, also shaking her head side to side with a cheeky smile that looked exactly like Jimin’s. You glared at Jimin who shrugs at you with a smile.

“Nari, baby, what about we play ickles instead?” Jimin says wiggling his eyebrows at the little girl in your lap.

You furrowed your eyebrows, “What’s ickles?” And before you could question further, you were tackled in kisses by your daughter and husband, calling you three to fall back onto your bed; the events of earlier long forgotten.
