TW Canon Divergence and Body Horror Tertius spent a long time on a Slaanesh-controlled planet, and in an attempt to create new Chaos Space Marines, he was implanted with a sort of clone made from gene seed and his genetic material. He's always been genetically malleable, so the process worked (with a healthy dose of artistic liberty) and little abomination was born! She was taken away from him when she was born and that was the last he heard of it until she came back to kick his ass.

While his own story happened in realspace, she was being sculpted into the closest thing to a Space Marine that they could get. She was fed propaganda, augmented with surgery and chem-therapy and exposed to all the horrors a pleasure cult had to offer. She was told that she was abandoned, that she was a monster only fit for killing. So, she did what any young girl with abandonment issues did--she escaped intending to kill her father.

They met, Tertius had a massive flashback and almost couldn't fight back, she injured herself in the attempt, and the two reached a terse understanding. Realizing the abuse and the neglect that she had endured, Tertius formally adopted her and named her Magdelene.

She's super-mega traumatized and retains the mind and emotions of a 10 year old, despite being 6'8" with the build of an Astartes and an estimated age range of 100 - 1000 years. Tertius tries his best to be a good father regardless of the Self-Destructive Alcoholic Artist Phase(TM). The pair are practically joined at the hip now, and when Ajax joins the gang (more on that later) Maggie snuggles into the role of doted-on neice!
