Is now the time for me to bring up how atrocious it is that authors now have to market their books with pseudo AO3 tags so everyone can see the tropes?
please i love you i'm begging you bring back suspension of disbelief bring back trusting the audience like. i cannot handle any more dialogue that sounds like a legal document. "hello, i am here to talk to you about the incident from a few minutes ago, because i feel you might be unwell, and i am invested in your personal wellbeing." "thank you, i am unwell because the incident was hurtful to me due to my childhood, which was bad." I CANT!!!!
do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

My bestie @bonesaremoney got me to watch Late Night with the Devil so that’s going to be my brain rot for a bit. I sent her so many essays already so you know.
Prepare for character analysis levels that remind me of my time in undergrad I guess. June, my love, I have so many thoughts. Never give me a woman in psych, even if it is parapsychology on her end, and expect me not to relate when men devalue her work. Good lord.
I also like the idea of her breaking down and realizing too late that she loves Lilly like she is her daughter or younger sister and having an Alicent Hightower-esque moment of sobbing for her girl.
Ohhhh overly stressed out, responsible women who are not taken seriously by men and were possibly oldest daughters, you have my heart forever.

maybe this sounds crazy but as a dragon age enjoyer, i actually enjoy all 3 games
this is the kiss penelope asked for. a kiss. nothing she said implied she wanted more than this little peck..

but this is the kiss colin gave her. this is what he wanted..

and this is the kiss that opened his eyes. this is the brow-furrowing 'oh' moment. this was the kiss he wanted and needed..

and this is where he needed a moment. he needed a second to bask in the afterglow of their kiss before his lips instinctively inched back in to meet hers again..

this is the moment the hope for anything 'more than friends' with colin, ended for penelope. this is where she thought, 'this was just a favor! this was just my friend colin being kind. this is never going to happen again, but at least i had it once'...

and this is the moment colin saw the possibility of 'more than friends' with penelope

A childhood friend of mine just walked off one day a few years ago. He would be 34 now. I don’t know where he is, and it hurts he’s gone. I think of him often, but I also highly suspect it was his mental health battles. I have my own struggles, but my dog of insanity is a little further off, or maybe she’s just instead the frantic Jack Russell at my heels named ADHD. But for those of you who are being stalked more heavily, I’m so sorry.
99% of "mysterious disappearances" esp of people in their 20s who start acting weird for 48 hours and then vanish are not mysterious, thats just when a lot of reality-obliterating mental illness tends to kick in and it's pretty easy to get a short circuit in your brain that makes you go family guy death pose in joshua tree national park. it's not any less tragic, it's just a documented phenomenon and not particularly predictable. its a big reason the medical advice is for people with a family history of schizophrenia to completely avoid weed and psychedelics. "people just go crazy sometimes" is a principle of human health that used to be a lot more accepted prior to the american midcentury and to a certain extent thats a healthier way to conceptualize and prepare for the risk, as opposed to the modern assertion that anyone acting weird is dangerous and broken forever.
