is metamy a popular ship? I was under the impression that it was bc I kept getting a lot of its content. even if it isn’t, I’m still eating well LOL

it's kinda hard to answer, but I think it's on the middle ground starting with this year! before it was pretty much obscure, since there was not much of an official content with both of them and Metal himself (the mania Christmas special is more than 5 years old now)

i think it most driven by the current writers and artists, bc, for example, mojunpwo's and supd00dle's art as well as the fanfiction made by bimboamyrose (hi Daisy!!) had inspired me to love this ship! so I'm happy to contribute to it myself, and to see others getting onto the train, too!!

overall it's not that much fandom wide comparing to other ships, but, personally, I really enjoy it, bc its comfy and chill!! and like. their motif is so strong, even when there's not much of anything them being created together does mean something special
