Love it when a character is like “I can tell you’re trying to smooth talk me and I’m fully aware you’re trying to manipulate me but it’s working. Keep complimenting me.”
Selûne has those fuckass bangs
bring back tumblr ask culture let me. bother you with questions and statements
Thinking about baby Enver, and my personal headcanon is that he was a difficult baby. Loud. Screaming, all day and night (selfish creature, spiteful little demon). Difficult birth that might've left Sally unable to have more kids (he always did pull a ladder up behind him, rotten boy). Biting when she tried to feed him, which lead to her not wanting do to it, which lead to him being even rougher when she gave up and fed him to silence his constant screaming because the neighbours started complaining.
Just... Normal, totally possible difficulties that a baby might have, especially in a harsh environment, but I know from experience that sometimes parents just straight up blame the kid for it, as if it's doing it intentionally. I'm a big fan of Gortash just being handed the worst hand in life so I could totally see it starting before he was even born, a difficult pregnancy and a difficult birth and a difficult baby - killing any tiny chance that he might've had with his parents to love him, and them still holding the grudge about it
Also thinking about the start of the book Perfume in which a woman tries to get rid of her newborn but he screams so loud people show up and stop her. Idk. Made me think of him.
Under cut cause its for My durge specifically but anyway
And on the other hand! Durge, who was 'born' without a pregnancy or parents, just a baby covered in blood and silent. Normal babies cry. Durge stared. Really easygoing baby, too, once placed with mortal parents.
My point is Enver being born screaming and flailing and with noone who'd love him and then dying the same way (not counting the Brain killing him because that ending is fucking bullshit) and Durge coming to this world bloodied and silent and completely alone and leaving it the same way (if he fullfills daddy's purpose).
