Hello all, hola a todos
Dear all, it’s my first blog, so I guess I should introduce myself.
My name is Luis Molina, I’m from Spain, but I have ever used a pseudonym, Leopold van Luissen, which is the name which a friend of me called me when I started drawing, because of the early renascence style I gave to my first sketch. I have never taken art classes, and I have never earn a cent by drawing, so that I say I’m a “wannabe artist”. Also, I see the very high level of the ARTISTS in here and I feel myself very humble to call myself this way.
I love drawing very much and I try to do it as well as possible, so I decided to create this blog, just to enjoy the works of great artists, to learn and to share my stuff, which I hope could be fun.
I started this blog publishing my last work, a serie of historical persons on their minion version, I love this little yellow fellows, so I drew the two firsts to my bureau (I’m a high level Spanish Parliament official, so yes, there are minion portraits at Spanish Senado), and the Catholic Kings for a friend.
But I have been drawing for years, since I was a teenager, many years ago. In fact, I started drawing comic stripes and pencil old style sketches at literature classes. I tried a lot of technics, like pencil, oil, watercolour,... recently digital too. Till today, people use to think that landscapes and funny comics are my best works, nevertheless historical minions are getting many lovers!
I hope to share the best of these years and my new works with this community as soon as possible.
Kind regards
