Trying to stay grounded when your head is open on all frequencies.

Finally got around to framing my two oil paintings after getting distracted by a writing project for several weeks. Above is the first, also on Etsy UK.

This and a couple of smaller ones are now on Etsy! Wish I'd remembered to photograph it before I framed it, but it's all good learning!

Decided to switch to oils, at least for the forests. Feels like a big step backwards after putting so much thought into my acrylic process, but I'm starting to remember how it's done. Early attempt above. It's hard to let go of acrylic habits but I'm getting there. Alla prima is not for me though, it seems - this needed two layers.
