         ‘   i  have  noticed.   ’    nathan’s  words  were  soft  as  his  tone  also  had  a  warm  edge  to  it.  maybe  even  for  the  first  time.  not  many  people  took  the  time  out  to  actually  prepare  something  this  nice  to  him.  if  it  wasn’t  for  his  brother  or  best  friend,  there  would  be  no  one.  so  it’s  appreciated  that  seongmin  tried.     ‘   this  is  great.  don’t  order  the  pizza.   ’   nathan  said,  quickly  grabbing  him  by  the  wrist  to  stop  any  possible  movements  that  might  come  next.  the  mutant  looks  into  the  other’s  eyes  while  wearing  a  smile.  a  rare  sight  to  see.     ‘   we  can  just  cut  out  the  burnt  parts  and  eat  the  rest.  it  will  be  okay.   ’

when   his   wrist   is   tugged,   he   stops   completely   in   his   tracks   to   mee   the   gaze   of   nathan’s.   for   a   moment,   he’s   silent.   palms   sweat,   cheeks   cascading   a   rather   dark   shade   of   crimson.   it’s   not   tough   to   make   seongmin   blush,   or   flustered   like   this.   though   it   feels   different   when   it   is   due   to   the   latter.   ‘   um,   no,   no   it’s   okay!   don’t   worry   about   it.   it   won’t   hurt   my   feelings   too   much   if   we   toss   it   out.   ’   seongmin   feels   though,   that   this   is   not   an   option.   it’s   beyond   their   control   at   this   point,   so   instead   they   leave   the   steaks   on   the   cutting   board   and   reach   for   the   knives,   then   pauses.   ‘   actually,   maybe   .   .   .   maybe   you   should   cut   these?   or   perhaps,   guide   my   hands?   my   cognitive   abilities   are   quite   off,   i   might   tear   them   to   shreds.   ’

‘   not   that   big   of   a   deal?   ’   now   he’s   fuming.   it   didn’t   take   much   to   set   him   off   these   days,   and   quite   frankly   ;   junghyun’s   been   hanging   together   by   the   smallest   of   threads.   ‘   it   doesn’t   require   much   effort   to   tell   your   group   of   friends   that   i   am   also   your   friend,   we’ve   been   at   this   for   nearly   three   months.   what’s   the   real   issue,   huh?   is   there   someone   else   that’s   offering   more   of   a   permeance   than   i?   ’   jung’s   past   has   offered   him   nothing   if   not   for   a   keen   eye   for   situations   like   this.   he   won’t   let   it   go.   ‘   you   don’t   need   to   tell   them   we’re   fucking.   a   simple   introduction   into   your   friend   group   is   all   that’s   needed,   and   maybe   we   could   do   more   than   just   fuck?   since   you   mention   there’s   more   to   you   than   just   your   sex   life,   ain’t   that   right?   ’
