“…you alright, Randy?” said Sulley resting a hand on Randall’s shoulders, who in turn turned to face his tired gaze at Sulley.

“Just thinking. I’m probably just really tired.” Randall sighed picking himself up off the ground. “You really think I’m cut out for this? He hasn’t even said his first word.” Randall said leaning his head on Sulley’s chest. “You think I’d make a good parent?”

Sullivan carefully picked up his lovers head by the chin and lightly smiled. “I know you’ll be a great parent to our son. You’re far more disciplined and patient than I; and you’re at a master at changing his diapers.” He said with a chuckle causing Randall to glare at him.

“You’re not talking yourself out of that duty, mister.” Randall said poking his partner hard with finger.

Sulley let out a laugh. “I’m not! Just saying.” He said pulling away from Randall to pick up their son, who fell onto his back and was rolling around like a ball on the table. “Pete’s gonna grow up; we can’t lie to ourselves. But he’s gonna be a good person because he was raised by good people.” Pete puffed up his cheeks spitting out saliva as Randall quickly wiped it with a warm wash towel. “We’re perfectly balanced to raise Pete into a fully functioning adult.”

Randall smiled as Sulley handed Pete over to him. “I guess you’re right. I’m thinking too ahead of myself.” Randall wrapped Pete up with a light yellow blanket. Pete opened his mouth wide letting out a yawn. “Time we tuck you in the for night.”

Both Randall and Sulley carefully adjusted his crib laying out his stuffed animals, sheets and pillows. Sulley turned on the ceiling night light that covered the darkened room with colorful shapes. They each embraced over the crib as Pete turned over and immediately nodded off. They each smiled and quietly removed themselves from the room. “G'night Petey.” Randall whispered.

With a small click of the bedroom door Pete turned over again holding tight to his blankets. “Nigh’ Dabby.” said Pete.
