Hello Classical Music Fans of Tumblr,
I have this piece stuck in my head, I managed to play this part of it on the keyboard but I have no idea what it is. If anyone knows what piece this is please tell me (help).

I asked my violin teacher, she said it was Elgar’s Cello Concerto, I’m glad I finally found it haha

The four most miserable words a person can hear when walking into a Rudy’s Pizza are “We have no tiramisu”
the mahler 7 concert was so goood!!! definitely the best concert i've been to so far. the orchestra played it phenomenally (the principal horn literally CARRIED the whole piece he played it so perfectly) (the principal trumpet and the whole trumpet section really were so loud in the end it was amazing) (the principal trombone played the tenorhorn part on a euphonium and splatted the first note (which is to be expected) but otherwise played perfectly)
the conductor did some interesting things like i think during the first movement there's a bit where the orchestra slows down a lot then continues and the conductor added a short pause there which i really liked!
while the whole performance and the individual movements were about as long as i was expecting them to be, the conductor unfortunately rushed through the slow pretty bits: the second movement was too fast, the scherzo was also too fast which made it sound much less crazy and unhinged than in recordings, and the fourth movement was also much to quick. also, the fifth movement started off to fast as well, but then settled into a more acceptable tempo.
overall it was a great performance and i am very glad to have gone!

On my way to go watch the BBC Philharmonic Perform Bridge’s Enter Spring, Shostakovich’s Symphony No.3 (The First of May) and Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.

(PS:: I spent too long making an outfit only to go for the same thing I wore last time I went to a concert minus the waistcoat)
I will report back how it was in a few hours.
