BETTER SHIT TO PUT IN YOUR GRIMOIRES THAN THE BASIC SHIT EVERYONE SAYS:

Maps! Maps! MAPS! If you're a death witch, get one for the cemeteries you visit and mark gravestones/areas you've practiced in! Garden witches! Map out your gardens! Green witches! Map where you find specific herbs in your area! Lunar witches! Mark the best spots to go look at the sky! Make a key! Take notes!

Recipes for COMPONENTS! Write down how to make the mixtures you use in spells often- A special salt mixed with herbs and put under the moon, a mixture of oils for protection, the herb mixes sachets you keep making to add to sachets, whatever!

For green witches- press samples of stuff and glue them in! Go to an arboretum and ask for permission to take leaves to press, they'll usually let you take some- add them in with your notes about trees

Cool ways to make spells! I make spells in envelopes and on empty spools, what are some ways you do?

The local plants in your area and what they do. You're not going to be likely to find chrysanthemums to forage in Missouri, but you will find creeping charlie and prairie plants. What can you do with a thistle?

When you celebrate a sabbat, write down what you did and include samples! Ribbons from your Beltane altar, a pressed sample of your lemmas harvest, a scrap of your Yule decorations. Maybe do a spell and tape the remnants into your grimoire in a plastic baggie

Learn how to make an envelope out of paper just by folding it, how to string seeds, how to dry plants, how to macrame rocks and hang them from your window. Find those little witchy skills and write them down.

How to incorporate your hobby into your magic. Sigiling origami paper, weaving knot magick into your crochet, making blessed bookmarks, etc

Substitutes! Rosemary, rose and clear quartz are good for most things, but there are more substitutes to be used that are more powerful. Roanoke bells are good substitutes for bluebells, apparently.

Correspondences of odd things. Turns out different kinds of cats have different correspondences, huh.

Superstitions and such from where you're from.

For kitchen witches: easy to alter recipes. An egg noodle recipe that takes herbs really well, a simple bread recipe that can be dressed up for spells or rituals, how to make a good pie crust that you can sprinkle nutmeg in or whatever you desire.

Or: What foods go good with what herbs. You'll make a better apple pie (and get the benefits of apples, nutmeg, and cinnamon together!) If you know how your herbs taste together with your cooking. (Most kitchen witches know this stuff, but for a green witch who likes to make teas or a sea witch that likes to make soup, etc, this is important)

In the sunsets of illusions and delusions, I beckon a love so deep, carving niches at the depths of Pacific, like moments rustling upon the winds, from the silvers of the skies to the wildfires in your eyes, detailing an ode to the flesh and skins. Grieving a trauma, so apprehensive, why love had had to be such pathetic. As far as the stars shine, as deeply as you are mine, turning heartbeats to music, in the twilight of memories, sorrows carving, sustaining lights, my heads under covers and I wear my heart on your sleeves.- I don’t know a lot about you, but I do know something about poetry, isn’t it the same thing?.

i will hold your face in my hands, between my palms,, and look at your face and your eyes , filled with the infiniteness of galaxies, your lashes curled like dusted with cosmic dust, and your charming smile, i will take you, i will take you over and over , again and again, till i can perceive the light, till air fills my lungs, I will take you, i will take your face in my hands, and i will look at your face, your beautiful face and whisper of roses in your ears tonight, my love, my dearest, my tenderness, my gentleness, the language of our hands ,is ours alone , oblivious to the world, just as they are unaware of telepathy of our hearts, sometimes i wonder to write a poem about my heart, and i end up writing about you, your eyes and your smile, your existence is poetry enough for me to exist in this lifetime and beyond.

Yo No Espero A Que Mi Cielo Oscurezca Para Llenarse De Estrellas. Yo Le Adorno De Astros, De Fuego Y

y entregarme a la bendición de sus besos;

yo no espero del futuro un apellido

pues no nací para ser preso.

Yo no aguardo de la vida nada,

yo le otorgo mi vivir..

soy acción, conciencia inmaculada,

no hay lugar en mí para sufrir.

Yo no espero volar

porque ya vuelo...

yo no espero creer

porque soy Fe...

Yo no espero morir

porque ya he muerto, para nacer otra vez....

Yo redacto mi vida

en el tronco de un alerce,

me conecto a la tierra

mas no me olvido de ser

espíritu celeste.

No he venido a competir,

yo planto semillas de axiomas;

spell to dull your feelings for someone

This spell is designed to quell (but not obliterate) romantic feelings you have toward someone. If this person is taking up too much of your heart’s and mind’s energy, this spell is for you. You will need:

♦  Bay leaf (healing, protection, purification and strength)

♦  Cinnamon stick (healing, success, power)

♦  Pink fabric (self-love, calming, personal harmony, matters of love)

♦  Black pen/paint and string or ribbon

1. Cut a small square of pink fabric and lay it on your workspace.

2. Write your name on one side of the bay leaf in large letters, and your chosen’s name on the other side in smaller letters. When finished, whisper to the leaf: “May my heart loosen its grasp on (name) and promote healthy feelings.”

3. Lie the bay leaf in the center of the fabric, and pick up the cinnamon stick. Whisper to it, “may your magic heal my heart and allow health in love.”

4. Place the cinnamon on top of the bay leaf and gently fold the fabric over it into a little envelope. Hold it in your hands for a moment; visualize you and your chosen holding hands, and then let go of their hand. Feel contentment in this thought.

5. Wrap the ribbon/thread around the envelope and hide it in a drawer.

Make Them Sorry (Revenge Hex)

I made this little hex a while back to get back at the person who caused the harassment that I had to deal with for a few weeks and reverse some negative energies. I hope you find it as useful as I did. ~Jae

Needed

Piece of paper with the target’s name written on it or a red dry-erase marker

 A mirror

A black pen/marker that can write on your skin

 Time to meditate

(Optional) Candle or crystal that brings you peace

Casting

Take time to meditate. Focus on the negative energies that you have due to that person. Think of them, their voice, face, everything.

Write your target’s name on the mirror with the dry-erase marker (or put the paper on it) and focus your energies.

Focus and imagine the negative energies following out of you and reflecting off of the mirror and into the person’s name. Visualize the energies as dark waves leaving from your core and crashing over their name.

As you do, recite the following until all negative feelings are gone:

Dark thoughts from black hearts Have no home here Pain, anger, betrayal, and hurt Go back to your place And make them sorry

Once all of the negative energies are gone, draw your favourite protection sigil or rune somewhere on your body. Light a candle, hold a crystal, or do whatever else will refill you with positive energies.

🌕✨ moon water correspondences ✨🌕

taken from one of my favourite pages of my grimoire!

moon water can be used for blessings, enhancing spells or rituals, for promoting clarity or relaxation, in love magic, wealth/prosperity magic, to increase psychic awareness, and many other purposes! but by harnessing your moon water at different times, you can then incorporate the specific traits of that time/phase/zodiac period into your spell work.

✨new moon water ✨

the new moon is associated with new beginnings, so use new moon water in spells or rituals focusing on things like new employment, new relationships, or new homes.

e.g. when moving into a new home, add a couple of tablespoons of new moon water to the water you would normally use to cleanse your house with!

✨waxing moon water ✨

the waxing moon is the period in which the moon is growing in size, so use waxing moon water as a way to grow the strength of your spells. waxing moon water is also beneficial in spells to promote growth (of abilities, skill, or knowledge). the power of the waxing moon also increases the potency of fertility spells, wealth, luck, business and relationship spells

✨full moon water ✨

the full moon is the point at which the moon is at its peak, so use full moon water for spells that require an extra push of energy. also use full moon water in spells to promote strength, love, protection, health, or use in spells to strengthen spiritual gifts and achieve your dreams

✨waning moon water ✨

the waning moon is the period in which the moon is decreasing in size, so use waning moon water for all magic intended to remove things from your life; banishing spells to rid yourself of bad habits, toxic relationships, lingering diseases, weight loss, stress, addictions and negativity

✨dark moon water ✨

when justice is required and is not obtainable outside of your spell work, casting in the dark of the moon and adding dark moon water will help with any crosses, hexes or binding spells

✨super moon water ✨

think of full moon water x1000000…… when you need an EXTRA BIG KICK OF ENERGY for your spells, this guy has you covered

✨lunar eclipse moon water ✨

the lunar eclipse signifies change, so when drastic change is required, the addition of lunar eclipse water draws on the phenomenal change shown during an eclipse, as the moon cycles through all of its stages in a single instance

✨zodiac* moon water ✨

full moon water also takes on the energies of the zodiac sign the full moon is in. here’s a brief rundown of those properties and/or what they can be used for:

1) full moon water in aries = couragous, positive energy; charging tools 2) full moon water in taurus = stable, earth, fertile energy 3) full moon water in gemini = positive charge, overcoming obstacles 4) full moon water in cancer = loving, maternal, protective energies 5) full moon water in leo = lucky, creative, successful energy; arts, politics 6) full moon water in virgo = practical energy; facilitates planning 7) full moon water in libra = persuasive, balancing energies; legal matters 8) full moon water in scorpio = psychic, spiritual, banishing energy  9) full moon water in sagittarius = transforming, spiritual energy; meditation 10) full moon water in capricorn = careers, politics, attaining material goods 11) full moon water in aquarius = innovative, inventive energies 12) full moon water in pisces = dreamy, psychic energy; astral projection

Shadow Work

Origins, Meaning and Utility

The Structure of the Mind

Shadow Work

Carl Jung theorized the existence of three levels/spheres in the human psyche: the Ego, representing the conscious mind, the Personal Unconscious where memories are contained and the Collective Unconscious, where all knowledge and experiences of the species are shared.

Each Sphere has in it a certain number of Archetypes, used to better describe the components of those structures, and the Shadow is one of them.

What is the Shadow

Shadow Work

The shadow can be seen as a instinctual or primitive part of ourselves, it exists as part of the unconscious mind and is composed of repressed ideas, weaknesses, desires, instincts, and shortcomings.

It is this archetype that contains all of the things that are unacceptable not only to society, but also to one's own personal morals and values, normally going against social norms and rules as well as what we personally consider right.

The Shadow is often described as the darker side of the psyche, representing wildness, chaos, and the unknown, and it is common for people to deny this element of their own psyche and instead project it on to others.

The Shadow in Witchcraft and Benefits of Shadow Work

Shadow Work

Art: Unknown

The Shadow, in witchcraft, can represent The Unknown, hidden depth of ourselves. Speaking in terms of energy, this is an area that can be a deep source of energetic issues, because it’s locked up in the dark and always striving to reach the light.

To not work with one’s Shadow is to make it greedy and aggressive, as well as denying a big part of oneself, making everything a half of a whole.

Through that brief explanation, we can already establish the importance and role of the Shadow in witchcraft, and with that in mind, comes the concept of Shadow Work.

Shadow Work can be seen in a number of practices, meditation, trances, inner journey’s, lucid dreaming, astral travels, spells and divination.

The method can change, but the principle is simple: Centering your intent to self discovery, self knowledge and self acceptance.

Working with one’s Shadow is not only beneficial to one’s craft, as it allows one to get in touch with their intuition as well as allows for easier connection with one’s guide/guides, but it also allows for healing and acceptance of one’s feelings and needs.

Think of all aspects of life as a wheel. If there is one part bent, the wheel can turn, but with more effort. If the owner spends time fixing that bent part, the wheel will turn in a much more smooth manner.

That is what happens when you take the time to do Shadow Work, you have to put in effort, and most of the time it’s not easy, but once done, all other components on the wheel of your life will be relieved to move on without that obstacle that makes their job harder.

The Shadow is not evil, as evil is just a moral compass invented by humans. It is a part of one’s nature, and to deny it is to supress a connection with yourself.

Take the time to know and accept your shadow, and you’ll see that life will be a little easier.

The Elements are the forces of Nature and life, and are incorporated into ritual and magick. Every aspect of existence is bound up in Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. And the fifth element which is Spirit (or also deemed Aether), which is present in each of the other four. Each of the four classical Elements is associated with one of the four cardinal directions; North, East, South and West.

There are also energetic associations, that add great depth to interpretations of how people with different zodiac signs interact with each other, for each sign is associated with an Element, and each Element is different.

The sabbats are holidays celebrated throughout the year on solstices, equinoxes, and the midpoints between them. These sabbats form the Wheel of the year.

There is a controversy surrounding the dates of these holidays, as people celebrate them all over the earth, not only in the northen hemisphere but in the southern too.

One viewpoint is that the Sabbats should be celebrated as they were originally created to be… in other words, Samhain is October 31st, regardless of where you live. In the Southern Hemisphere, even though you are just gearing up to summer on October 31st, this perspective says that you celebrate the cleansing and releasing, the honouring of the dead just as you would if you lived in the Northern Hemisphere. The other viewpoint (the one I personally agree with) is that you should celebrate when you feel like the season corresponds with the holiday, in other words, your craft, your rules. So if you live in the southern hemisphere, you have the choice.

I’ll be writing the dates for each holiday starting with the northen hemisphere and then the dates that many people celebrate them in the southern hemisphere

🌲𝐘𝐔𝐋𝐄

{December 21st//June 21st}

Yule focuses on rebirth and renewal as the sun makes its way back to the earth. It’s all about new beginnings, reflection and embracing warmth. Much like Christmas, many celebrate with a feast, gift giving, being cosy and appreciating the good.

↟Nature: cedar, frankincense, myrrh, mistletoe, pine, birch, ivy.

↟Foods//flavours: ginger, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, wintergreen, apple, dried fruit.

↟Stones: citrine, ruby, garnet, alexandrite, green tourmaline.

↟Activities: decorate your altar with incense associated with Yule, burn ash wood for prosperity, bake using Yule flavours like ginger or cinnamon, make wreathes to hang around the house, spend time with loved ones.

🕯️𝐈𝐌𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐂

{February 1st//August 1st}

Imbolc focuses on celebrating the nature that is preparing to grow and renewal, also known as “candlemas” and the “Feast of Pan”.

↟Nature: basil, blackberry, heather, celandine, iris, wisteria, vanilla, bay, yellow and white flowers.

↟Foods//flavours: pumpkin and sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, peppers, onions, spices, and herbal teas.

↟Stones: amethyst, bloodstone, garnet, ruby, onyx.

↟Activities: decorate with candles and sun decorations, go hiking, have a bonfire, bake foods with poppy seeds, and burn any leftover winter herbs.

🌼𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐀

{March 21st//September 21st}

Ostara focuses on manifesting creativity and love. As the days become longer, energy becomes stronger.

↟Nature: ash, alder, daffodil, honeysuckle, narcissus, primrose, violet, jasmine.

↟Foods//flavours: olives, maple syrup, honey, edible flowers, chocolate, pine nuts, nettle or lavender tea, local fruits and vegetables.

↟Stones: amethyst, rose quartz, moonstone.

↟Activities: gardening and planting seeds, bake breads with olives or honey for example, start new projects, talk to plants, do some painting, decorate with wildflowers.

🌰𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐄

{May 1st//November 1st}

Beltane focuses on fertility, love and abundance. Also known as “may day”, on this sabbat many celebrate with dancing, bonfires and many high energy activities, including enjoying themselves sexually with a partner or even conceiving children.

↟Nature: frankincense, lilac, ivy, marigold, woods, rose, thyme, mint, yarrow.

↟Foods//flavours: oats, leafy greens, fruits, breads, honey.

↟Stones: malachite, amber, fire opal, red jasper.

↟Activities: dance, decorate with florals and symbols of the sea, go to the beach, go hiking, have a bonfire, feast on fruits, vegetables and grains, laugh and let your hair down. And if you’re trying to conceive or simply would like to have sex, Beltane is a wonderful time to do so.

Forget Your Troubles Spell

Forget Your Troubles Spell

A spell to ease any undesired emotions, thoughts, or reminders of past troubles.

Go for a walk in the forest during/after rain. Find an area where you can be comfortable and breathe deeply. Allow your senses to expand, embracing the sights, sounds, and smells of the forest. When you feel grounded, you will begin looking for one of three rocks.

🌿For the first rock, say “One for my past troubles”. Hold the feelings that come up with your past troubles and allow your intuition to guide you, until you find a rock that feels right.

🌿For the second, say “One for my present troubles”, again following your intuition to a rock.

🌿The third, say “One for my future hopes” and let yourself be drawn to it.

Find a place to sit and ground yourself again, holding the stones. When ready, pick up a rock and pour everything into it (be it troubles, thoughts, hopes) until you feel at peace. Repeat with the other two. Make sure you know which rock is which.

When finished, keep your ‘past troubles’ rock in a tree near your home. The other two you will keep with you, so you can continue to pour things into them. If you feel they need to be cleansed, put them in the rain.

*If you live in a place that rarely sees rain, find your rocks in moving water, or standing if necessary.*

moving target

“Absolutely not,” Bakugo huffs, kicking his boots up on the glass table in front of him, “I will not be some brat’s babysitter.”

His manager huffs, stepping forward, “Listen, your PR ratings are low. Helping out a big donor, being in the public eye actually helping will boost your ratings. Higher ratings mean more screen time which means more money, and eventually, a better gig.”

“…fine.”
