About your recent update post. I feel the same way and it makes logging onto tumblr harder and harder. Empty promises are the worst and I want to apologize if I ever contributed to making you feel that way. I can only speak for myself and my own experience but to me it feels like there is a lack of community.

i'm so sorry to hear that you're having a similar experience as the one i have, or at least similar feelings regarding the "community" (cause lbr its barely a community lol). i knew when i wrote the post that i'm not alone in my experience of the fic space on tumblr and that quite a handful of people really resonated with me and what i'd say when talking to them, but since posting it i see that even more people feel this way. it's sad cause a fic community would be an awesome platform to explore one's talents and skills in the art of writing. but yeah... it'd have to be a community for me to call it a community lol my post was not made to make people feel bad or targeted though. i'm sure nobody was actively going out of their way to not follow through with their own claims. i'd like to believe people have the best intentions with what they do. however it is this kind of disconnection from one another that plays a part in why there is this severe lack of community, i think. it takes effort to build up a community and keep it thriving... and that's what i wanted to highlight. it was simply me announcing an indefinite semi-hiatus and ofc following it up with an explanation as to why, instead of just up and leaving lmao but yeah. i appreciate your ask, lov, and hearing about your experience too.

This shouldn't need to be said, but fanfic writing should be treated like a community and not competition
