OKAY OKAY the first time I watched this ep (watched twice in a row) I saw this line and the cut to Sam and was like holy shit the writers are brilliant, to draw a connection between Sam leaving Nigeria and Ted leaving Kansas. What a beautiful parallel that is totally reflected in Ted getting a care package in S0E2 and giving Sam his own care package the same episode. 

BUT when I watched the second time, I realized this is also Sam thinking about leaving Richmond. They are his family. And would he leave them to go play halfway around the world?

OBSESSED with this new characterization of Trent Crimm as Complete Dork. Can't ride a bike, locks his keys, concerned about how he looks,out on a new journey...please being forward this gay distinguished disaster
