let’s talk about the relationship ship between c!dream and c!sapnap.

dream has abandoned him.

It’s plain and simple. Sapnap has not turned on dream or left him to rot in prison or betrayed him in any way as some sympathisers would have you think.

Dream is a tyrant. He is a manipulator. A liar.

He has no attachment to any of them.

He sees it first in George’s dethroning. Seeing geogre truly heartbroken by Dream. Wondering why dream would do that to someone he cares about and proclaiming that George would always be the king to him.

He sees it again after Schlatt was defeated. He sees dream become distant and turns to tommy with questions of does he really care about me??

He sees it again after that conversation, dream becoming colder, more controlling. George sees the appropriate response to tommy ruining his little mushroom house as pranking him back and building a new house right in front of Tommy’s. Dream sees the appropriate response as putting up walls around l’manberg, forcing new president tubbo to put his best friend in exile. does dream really care about them? Why wouldn’t dream just join them and prank tommy back??? It had been settled in court. Tommy would stop. Dream didn’t care about what George wanted, what the court decided. He wanted control. He said as much. He didn’t care about anything on the server. Not spirit. Not them. He tells George. They’re alone.

He realises that dream doesn’t care. He realises that dream was in the wrong. He’s known since lmanberg. Since the moment he’s changed sides to support tommy over dreams plans to destroy the country. He knew when he dethroned George. He knew when he exiled Tommy. He knew when he stood in front of dream in prison and told him that he ever got out it’d be him that took dreams final life.

He saw the person he relied on the most become devious, destructive, villainous. He threatened everyone’s attachments. He took Beckerson. He was willing to out his friends in harms way to gain control over the server. There is chaos and death and destruction and narcissism hidden in a face that sapnap thought he knew.

Sapnap didn’t abandon Dream. He was abandoned by Dream. He was thrown aside so they dream could pursue his narcissistic fantasy of becoming a man made god. Leaving nothing but pain and destruction in his wake.

In today’s lore we saw a tiny bit of hope: maybe he’s changed. Maybe the guy that sapnap once knew is still in there. But. it wasn’t enough to overrule the preexisting perceptions sapnap already has of him.

Yes, sapnap was wrong in blaming dream for the destruction of Mexican Lmanberg. But given his relationship to Dream it’s reasonable for him to assume that Dream would do that. He associates dream with destruction, chaos, pain. Dream destroys so much on the server it’s not illogical for him to assume dream would ruin something important to Sapnap too. I also think that cc!sapnap is a himbo and just straight up fucking forgot the lore so there’s that

THIS IS THE BEST FIC EVER OMG! I'll stop the caps but I just. there are so many feelings! I love how well the characters were characterized! (I'm especially weak to Quackity) The pacing is perfect - not to fast or slow, you never get bored. It has just enough twists and turns that keeps you engaged and guessing and thinking about it as your falling asleep, but not so much that u have whiplash. The story is just *muah* chef's kiss! Theres plenty of royalty aus but this one has a great twist that really makes it stand out! I'm not really one for dnf but there written so adorably that's it hard not to love em! And. *breaths* karlnapity: They're perfect. Absolutely amazing. I cant keep the smile off my face when they're interacting - even at the beginning when they didnt even know eachother. Have I mentioned I love Quackity? I love his character growth so much and how others feel about him (wilbur lol) and his interactions with them (techno lol). And everyone's role in the story is so great as well - the guards, karl's guild, his ex-guild, Sapnaps parents (dadboyhalo my beloved), sbi, just. Everyone is amazing. And the quality of the story is amazing, too. I felt like I was reading more than mincraft fanfiction and that's amazing.
