To recognize that we are created beings is to understand that, apart from God, we can do nothing and will ultimately fade away after this life. We did not create ourselves, nor did we create the heavens and the earth. Though we live within creation, we did not bring it into existence. If we did not create ourselves, how could we sustain life or produce anything divine by our own power once this life has ended? Brothers and sisters, we have been given free will—life with the gift of death—to come to these realizations and freely accept the gifts that God desires to continue nurturing in us, even beyond this life. To confess Jesus as Lord is to truly know Him. And how do we get to know Him? Through scripture and prayer, which lead us into a deep and beautiful relationship with God which verifies the truth that what He says in scripture becomes our CONFIDENCE on the last day. Come and learn. Give yourself the opportunity to LIVE OUT YOUR CONFIDENCE as God our Creator, through Jesus Christ, commands.
