I stared at my feet, feeling empty and hollow. This wasn’t how I’d wanted it to end. It wasn’t supposed to end till we divorced. I was supposed to have held on and maybe , come out of this with at least respect for each other but …. That just didn’t seem possible, now.

“You’re hurting.” He said softly and I flinched.

“It doesn’t matter.”

“It does to me.” He said sharply. “My pain mattered to you, didn’t it? Why shouldn’t yours matter to me?”

I stared at him.

“That’s not how it works.” I snapped.

“And you get to decide that? You get to decide how everything works in my head, Heejin? ….You saved me. I’m not scared to say that out loud… I needed saving and you were the only one who threw me a rope. I… I just wish I could do that for you. Is that so wrong?” He shouted.

The doorbell rang and we both startled.

“When the illusion breaks, you’ll realize there’s nothing here worth saving. ” I whispered.

He didn’t say a word, walking past me to open the door.

@sunshyngal babyyyy are you straight up trying to killll meeee?! I’m SO SOFFFFF FOR WHAT YOU’VE POSTED TODAY. Legit here still processing your Yoongi Drabble (which is not a Drabble because an epiphany is not a plain ass thought)

Amendment to English: Soffff

Having the harsh T sound at the end of the word that’s supposed to mean SOFT does not make sense.

Hence, I present, the new and improved - SOFFFFF.

With its fluffy fuh sound an endless flow of breeze between the inside of your lips and your teeth, a fitting pronunciation to the word that’s supposed to describe sheep’s wool pillows that your head is laid against as you drift off into dreamland.

It costs nothing. Just fuck convention and say, ‘Sofffff’.

Bonus - the number of ‘ffff’s can be adjusted according to the intensity of sofffness and/or however the fuck you want. Yas flexible spelling.

Why is there so much taboo around saying you're good at something?? If you're an artist or writer or whatever else you do well , don't be scared to say that out loud. You put in effort, you developed your craft , you spent time on it ...you have every right to say that you're good at it. You don't need 3500 notes and thousands of followers to be considered good. The idea that writers don't have any value unless they have readers is harmful and just not true.

If anyone ever wants to unfold desire within themselves, read @sunshyngal. This woman knows how to write. She writes desire and feeling with trust and care. It’s a heady concoction and a warm comforter. To all those who wanted to pressure her to write one thing over another, would you ask the rain to fall ‘a particular way’? That’s how she writes, for me. Like the rain. Thank you, Shyn.
