So basically, all four girls are in the garden of Eden together trying to live up to the incredibly high standards of a strict god (the white lady). Yves finds a path out of Eden (the grass stained socks) and begins to sneak away to find an Eden of her own, a.k.a a world that is perfect for her. She’s free-hearted and wants to live without rules, but she doesn’t want to go alone. Chuu, much like in Heart Attack, loves Yves and looks up to her, causing her to pay close attention to what Yves is up to. She sees Yves sneak away while she and the others continue to receive verbal abuse from their strict god, and Chuu follows her heart and thus follows Yves on the path to escape Eden. Yves decides that Gowon, too, seems unhappy with Eden, and comes to whisper their plot of escape to her. The three girls work together to plan an escape from Eden.

However, Olivia Hye is excluded from their plotting. Likely, they think she’s too loyal to their strict god, and in many ways it makes sense why they would think that. She’s a silent observer. She’s with them frequently, but unlike the others you’ll never see her seeming to speak in the MV. They don’t trust her, the silent observer, and thus they exclude her to keep their plot a secret. 

When the others run away from the garden of Eden, Olivia is left behind, in silence, to watch. Her loyalty to them is subtle. She doesnt accuse them and she doesnt request to come along, she waits along passively to be invited and then never is. But if she were loyal to their god, she would have told her of the plans to escape. She eavesdropped on them, so she knew it was coming. She even waits for their god, almost as a distraction while the other girls escape, only to watch on, feeling truly alone in a giant house, as her only potential friends leave her behind. 

While the three girls can leave Eden and enjoy a free and happy life, it comes at the cost of Olivia’s suffering— left behind at the hands of their strict god she is beaten down and alone (from the last shot, what was once a happy ending to their dance is now her standing defeated with her body straight and head down, a sort of melancholy stance that was juxtaposed with a happy group shot, showing how alone she has become). Her only solace in her abandonment is finally gaining praise from their strict and controlling god, but at what cost? Is approval from an authority figure worth all of the verbal abuse and loneliness she had to endure to get there? She’ll follow after the girls to leave Eden, but at whose direction? And how would she respond to seeing the girls who left her behind? 

Egoist implies she sets out to destroy them. 

 A side note, less clear is the conversation between god and Yves the Chuu listens in on. Likely, it’s scolding for the grass-stained socks, but it could be more devious. Did God create Lucifer to fall? Did this god tell Yves to run, and take all but Olivia Hye with her? I think the rest of the MV is pretty clear, but that’s just a theory of mine.

I really miss kpop vines

Not the edits. Edits are wonderful and they last longer than 6 seconds which is better. But the vines felt.....different when I watched them. When I look at those old vine videos I feel nostalgia cause they were around when I got into kpop.
