Wip Tag Game

Does anyone get the feeling of wanting to write but you can’t? Not the same as Writers’s Block because you can come up with all sorts of ideas and you can put them all down into words but you just can’t seem to actually do any writing?

E & M for fanfic writer asks!

E: What character do you identify with most?  Is there a certain fic of yours that captures these qualities particularly well?

That's a toughie. I've been out of the fanfic game for about 10 years before I started working on my Disa fanfic. I'd have to say I probably identify with funnily enough with the show probably Chlodwig just because there's so many times where I go "I have a plan!!" and that never goes according to plan lol. I'd have to say with "Start again" I sprinkled a bit of my qualities with Gretta and Dwight. Gretta is more emotion wise, while with Dwight I'm a big nerd when it comes to comics, video games, movies, and some shows and anime so I can kinda see Dwight being the same since Sloane even said he put a lot of himself in the character. M: What’s the weirdest AU scenario you’ve ever come up with?  Did it turn into a story? Probably the bodyguard AU I was thinking of working on because there's so many more darker situations you can throw into it than a lighthearted medieval fish out of water show like DISA is. I am rather tempted to work on it whenever I do have free time. Free time is literally the "I have a plan!" moments. It happens when you have to be an adult unfortunately lol.

DISA bodyguard au? 👀

"Of all the people, I have to keep an eye on her?" he scoffed. "Come on Mack, I wasn't trained to keep people safe just to babysit some rich patriarch's brat."

Mack chuckled as the young man crossed his arms. His dark hair mostly flopped to one side. He knew the boy had been trained for various situations. He was young, almost too young. And with his clean shaven face, he looked like he belonged still in highschool. Joining at 22 years of age, he was the youngest bodyguard to ever be recruited to the K.A.P and like his father before him, he was just as stubborn.  He slapped a hand down heavily on Dwight's shoulder. "Look, we both know your dad was a legend around here. He saved countless lives until his last breath." Mack's smile faded  "I might have a job to do, but I also have a promise to keep." His grip onto Dwight's shoulder tightened. "Sorry kid, but I can't risk throwing you into the deep end so soon." 

When Dwight opened his mouth to argue, he closed it again seeing the gruff bravado fall away. After his mother disappeared without a trace and his father killed shortly after, Dwight was raised by his grandmother. Even though Dwight had to get used to a small town in the middle of nowhere, and had to learn how to make new friends, he exemplified in school and extracurricular activities. Mack always looked out for him and visited often, being the only present male figure in his life. While he always tried to hide behind the veneer of authority as head of the K.A.P, Dwight could still see the worry and emotion in his eyes. Mack gave out a huff while he went to sit in his plush leather desk chair. Twirling a pen in his hands with ease, he looked over Gretta's file. "Look Dwight, this assignment might seem to you as a babysitting job but it's just as important as any other. Consider it a test run to get your feet on the ground."  While Dwight took his seat on the other side of Mack's desk, the files in the folder were pushed towards him. "Who knows? you and her might actually get along if you both get to know each other."

"I highly doubt that. You know the spoiled rich kid types. Most of them act like everyone around them has to be at their beck and call like their some sort of royalty," Dwight said, sifting through the different photos and information about the girl he was assigned to protect.

"Unfortunately that comes with the territory with needing clients that will keep the K.A.P afloat." Mack could still see the job milling over in Dwight's head. He tapped his fingers across the desk. 

“There’s not anyone else you can assign me to?”

“I’m afraid not,” Mack said apologetically, “If you don’t take this job, you might be out of work for another six months.”

"Six months?!”

"Six months. You either take it or leave it.”

“Fine. Not like I have much choice. I have bills to pay.” Dwight signed a paper on Mack’s desk and shook his hand.

“Welcome to your first official assignment in the K.A.P Dwight.”

Dwight gave him somewhat of a small smile while tucking the file envelope under his arm. “I’ll take a look over everything in the file tonight.”

“Sounds like a good idea. I’ll introduce you formally as her new bodyguard tomorrow. Be here at 10 am.”

“Aye aye captain,” Dwight said, giving a quick one handed salute. He made his way to Mack’s office door.

“Oh and Dwight?” Mack watched Dwight turn quickly as he opened the door. “Do us both a favor. Don’t fall in love with the girl.” Dwight shrugged his shoulders, completely dumbfounded by his request. 

“Pfft! I don’t think that’ll be a problem Mack.”
