Jonathan is the first of two children born to a working class family in Peterborough. After his release from the hospital, Jon moved to Toronto with his uncle, enrolled in public school, and began the long and arduous process of re-adjusting to the world without the eyesight he’d previously taken for granted. He has a guide dog with which he previously ran track and an affinity for TV crime dramas.

someone: displays the faintest amount of interest in my wips
me:

A prisoner chatting with his monstrous captor.
A burglar stumbling upon a secret better left buried.
A royal heir sold into slavery, captured by a dragon.
Kihrin is all of them and though his story has three different beginnings it can only end one way and it's unlikely he will be alive to witness it.

Normally I don't post book reviews on my Tumblr but I finished the ruin of kings on the weekend and I haven't recovered since.
I dove headfirst into this tale, unsure what to expect and though it started out as a epic fantasy novel it evolved into so much more after the first hundred pages.
Kihrin is a character you either hate or love and in my case I just adored him my little sunshine deserves all the love in the world and a time out. Honestly give this boy a break.
This book comes with a whole set of complex characters, including the protagonist and every antagonist he has to face of... Honestly there isn't a single character who's motives didn't make him the hero of his own tale.
So huge shoutout to Jenn Lyon for not only providing me with my favorite read of 2019. But also writing an finishing arc that left me breathless on a Sunday night when I was supposed to prepare for school!
To every fantasy fan out there who is sick of stereotypical characters, go and buy this masterpiece you won't regret it... And those books really deserve a Fandom!
Regst du dich auch manchmal einfach nur tierisch über #greatcoats auf??
Reblog 'cause that's perfect!
