It took me about ten minutes to stop howling with laughter

Alright I’m going to base this off mostly from Kimizuki’s point as he’s usually the one ‘hating’ Yuu, and now I’m gonna make the longest post ever so sit back and get a load of this

We all know Yuu meets Kimizuki with a bang and they do not get along - Kimizuki dislikes this little upstart kid who thinks he knows it all, and Yuu finds him cocky and annoyingly superior. Despite all that plus their fighting, the moment it’s announced that Mirai is in danger Yuu drops everything and forces Kimizuki to go to his sister. Given, they just met that day but if Yuu really hated Kimizuki he wouldn’t be punching his lights out in order to get him to see Mirai.

After that chaos we get a scene of Kimizuki and Yuu making up and acknowledging each other. There is no dislike, no hate or distaste; both of them agree on each other’s opinions that come to a truce - family is important. The anime even amped it up with this;

Besides this, on several occasions, Kimizuki is shown to be compassionate and a concerned individual, not only when it comes to Yuu and the squad;

Yuu compliments Kimizuki on his cooking and driving and let’s face it if he hated him he wouldn’t even do that

Besides, even other people have noted Kimizuki’s kindness on multiple occasions, like Yoichi who had said Kimizuki is a gentle person, and even Shinoa:

Note what Shinoa says - both Kimizuki and Yuu are similar in terms of strength, willpower, passion and kindness. They are each other’s foils because they are alike - Kimizuki began with searching for power to protect his sister, while Yuu wanted revenge and both of them scoffed at the idea of family.

When Yuu and Shinoa rushes to the squad to help them, Kimizuki berates Yuu because it had been his plan to meet up somewhere else after they were done. He tells Yuu to trust them and Yuu says he does, even though insisting he would still come.

If Kimizuki hated Yuu he wouldn’t tell him to trust in him and the others.

If Yuu hated Kimizuki he wouldn’t be coming to his aid.

Yet when Shinoa implies to keep Yuu’s Seraph as a secret from Yuu himself, Kimizuki turns cold and states that he wouldn’t be a comrade of the squad, adding that he just needs the money for Mirai’s treatment.

If Kimizuki hated Yuu, he wouldn’t have given two shits whether Yuu knew about his experimentation or not.

Despite saying that when he had earlier carried Yuu to safety after the battle, and the anime and musical both confirm that Kimizuki had watched over Yuu while he was asleep and taken care of him.

Yuu is smiling, knowing that Kimizuki had been worried over him probably from the way he shoved Mitsuba aside to look at Yuu

This isn’t an expression of hate.

ASLO THIS ENTIRE SCENE REALLY MAKES ME WONDER HOW PEOPLE THINK KIMIZUKI IS ABUSIVE LIKE REALLY???????? HE COVERED HIM WITH HIS OWN DAMN JACKET EVEN THOUGH HE WAS COLD HIMSELF SMH YALL CALLING THIS HATE??? SHAME ON YOU.

After managing to possess Asuramaru, the first thing Kimizuki does is to comment on how hard it was for Yuu and asked if he managed to succeed. I’m putting both manga and anime here as a showcase of his sincerity. He’s glad that Yuu did it and pulled through unharmed.

If Kimizuki hated Yuu he wouldn’t have even cared.

Cue to when it was Kimizuki’s turn and Kiseki-o was practically slugging him around;

This is the same person that had, only hours ago, said he would quit being a comrade of the squad if they chose to lie to Yuu and keep secrets. Within Kiseki-o’s illusion, he thought of Yuu and how much he drove him to fight, and that was what made him win over Kiseki-o. Despite the fact that Kimizuki says he hates Yuu here, it’s clear that he doesn’t mean it one bit; he hates the fact that he thinks Yuu is better than him, and he acknowledges that. It’s that drive that made him pull out of the illusion and start valuing family.

It’s cemented further that Kimizuki knows it’s only because of Yuu that he was able to make it, he just didn’t want to admit it to him lol

Several times, they have each other’s backs in battle. Kimizuki trusted Yuu with his life when taking down Lucal Wesker because he knew Yuu would kill him without fail. Yuu trusted Kimizuki to goad Lucal into attacking them despite being completely open to his attacks.

If both of them hated each other, they wouldn’t be trusting each other in battle.

In Nagoya when Yuu runs back into the building to look for Guren, Shinya orders everyone to stop him. Kimizuki is shown hesitating, because he trusts Yuu so much that he believes he knows what he’s doing despite the danger and risks, but the moment that Yuu’s safety was threatened, he was the first one to latch onto him to stop him.

Kimizuki is shown to be watching Yuu, knowing that he feels upset for not being able to save Guren; he’s tries to persuade Yuu to leave, knowing that Yuu would probably die if he tried to battle Crowley and the others. And when Yuu passed out and the others were freaking out, Kimizuki was the first one to attempt to resuscitate Yuu and get the pills out.

After all that, if there was even a shred of hate for Yuu in Kimizuki, he would have probably just called him an idiot and left it at that.

Kimizuki is the first one that runs after Yuu and actually gets there in time to save him. During demon-mode, Yuu acknowledges Kimizuki because he was happy to see him, thinking he would help kill Crowley.

This scene. Entirely.

For Kimizuki Shiho, who had previously been such an asshole towards the idea of family and only wanted to get stronger for his sister, to admit Yuu is his family - for Kimizuki to admit that Yuu was the one that had saved him when he had been driven into a corner by Kiseki-o and smile as he does so -

Is that hate?

He’s practically saying that if Yuu died, there would be no reason for him to live besides his sister. He knows how much Yuu values family, and he too chose to hang onto that, because Yuu was the one that had taught him to do so.

All the way, Kimizuki was the one carrying and trying to protect Yuu, right up until Mika came. If at this point you still insist Kimizuki hates Yuu, he would have probably just thrown Yuu at Mika instead to keep him away.

When Guren stabs Kimizuki, Yuu is the first one to leap at him, despite the fact that Guren is probably the most important person in his life next to Mika.

Now this; Mirai is his most treasured person in his life. He probably would never let anyone else but the doctors handle her before all of it went to shit. But while injured and weakened, he begs Yuu to help his sister. He trusts that Yuu will bring it all to an end and stop Mirai from being used and tortured. The same person, who all those chapters back, refused to even listen to Yuu when the latter told him to go see Mirai.

After all those months, Kimizuki was gungho about going to Guren to find his sister no matter what, even stating outright that he would betray them all if it came down to it. This is an interesting potential arc to look forward to as I believe there will be a time where he will be forced to choose between Mirai and the squad, and even though he clearly values the squad, his sister is still his top concern - just like it would be for most of us if we were in his situation. However Kimizuki does have a habit of saying things he doesn’t really mean, for example, hating Yuu or not caring about the squad. And the moment Yuu suggests something dangerous that would help killing Ferid, Kimizuki is the first one to put that idea down. Kimizuki is clearly anxious about his sister and would do anything to see her and save her, but he doesn’t want Yuu to be in danger as well.

OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT KIMIZUKI AND YUU;

Kimizuki is asked who he likes the most/thinks about the most in the fanbook to which he answers: “Baka-yuu! If you don’t babysit him /look after him, he’ll do something very stupid and things will end up terribly.”

Yoichi asks Kimizuki who he likes in this translation from the Bloody Blades game. Kimizuki responds that it would have to be someone who would help take care of his sister and their family. Yoichi immediately thinks that means he’s talking about Yuu and bring up that he must really like Yuu.

Shinoa referred to Kimizuki as Yuu’s bride lol
