I first got into poto after reading the book, so I’ve always been a little biased when it comes to interpretations of his character, but the way you write musical Erik??? Muah perfection 🤌

AHHH thank you so much!! i’m glad you enjoyed my interpretation of musical erik :) i believe that by the end of the musical, when erik is in his lair without his mask, his character from the book starts to emerge. i think erik pretends to be a charming, graceful, and ‘sex-appeal oozing’ man to appeal to christine throughout the musical, to try and seduce her as he believes this is the kind of man she wants. but, when his mask is removed, he can't keep up this act. that's when he starts to behave erratically and cruelly, showing his true troubled nature. although book erik and musical erik are still very distinctively different, i do find there to be that similarity that i enjoy and wanted to depict.

of course, there’s plenty of other reasons people may believe this occurs- he might just be really pissed off and that’s just how he is when pissed off and nothing’s a facade. but this is the theory i like and the one i wanted to channel into my writing, because i really also love book erik and his characteristics lol. i need to write something just for him at some point.

and by ‘the end’- i don’t know if you’re referring to them orgasming or like the literal end of the story- but either way, thank you so much for your kind words!

the lack of erik content was honestly shocking when i started trying to look for it tbf, the biggest musical probably in the world and basically nobody’s writing fanfic about it? unbelievable. i’m glad to hear you enjoyed my cherik fic and hopefully my future fics are as good! lol.

but yeah unfortunately poto fic readers often can’t be picky about the adaptions they read about because there’s such little content for him in general, but i’m trying to fix that and hopefully more people start writing for erik and other poto characters because there is definitely a drought.

AHH thank youu!! i’m so glad you loved my writing!! the main reason why i started writing in the first place was because nobody else was writing what i wanted to read, so i am so very glad my writing has kind of served that purpose for you lol.

and i’d loved to write something a bit longer - once the bulk of my college work is out the way i’m going to sit down and work on something at least 30-40k words long. it’s just finding the time and not losing the motivation halfway through lol.
