Before I watched Captain Marvel I had to admit she seemed like sort of a dick in the second trailer that dropped, especially the "noble warrior heroes" part, but now after watching it I can confirm that not only is Carol not a dick but also Big Dick Engergy™ in human form wow.
I only realized this a few hours after watching the movie (Captain Marvel) but just this once there was no love interest for the main character in a superhero movie, which left more space to emphasize the platonic and family relationships and honestly? it's balm for my soul. kid-me would've needed that. pass it on Carol Danvers is a GODDESS for defeating amatonormativity in one movie and hopefully ending Thanos in the next one.
