Nature Witch Tip

nature witch tipπŸͺ΅πŸŒ±

Wood barks/chippings promotes protection (esp from an oak tree!)

i used the skin of a fallen branch for this, i used the wood for other witchy projects, and saved the skin for my jars and mesh bags!

i used it for car protection; in a mesh bag i placed:

wood bark and chippings

rosemary

chamomile flowers (i used dried flowers)

a bay leaf with my chosen rune of protection

cloves

hanged it up my rearview mirror, then cleansed my car (before and after) and visualized white energy flowing around inside and outside the car

Lately there was a level 4 Hurricane here in Florida, tried my best to physically protect my home (and it’s energy too).

Just did a grocery run yesterday, i was nervous to see my car with water damage, but it was safe πŸ₯Ή no flooding, no water that got in my engine πŸ₯Ή and the mesh bag hanging still on my rearview mirror.

i hope this tip can help my fellow witches, (and for our baby witches tooπŸ₯Ή)

Explain the basics: CHAKRA

While witchcraft and chakras come from different spiritual traditions, some modern witches blend the two by incorporating energy work from Eastern practices. Even though chakras aren't originally part of witchcraft, understanding them can guide us toward areas where we need to heal or deepen our spiritual practice. Recognizing and working with chakras can help us open up more fully to the spiritual world.

Explain The Basics: CHAKRA

What Are Chakras and How Do They Work?

Chakras might sound mystical, but they're essentially energy centers within your body. The concept comes from ancient Indian traditions like Hinduism and Buddhism. The word "chakra" means "wheel" in Sanskrit, representing spinning energy that flows through us. There are seven main chakras, and each one plays a unique role in your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Let’s break them down:

Root Chakra (Muladhara): Located at the base of your spine, this chakra is all about feeling grounded and secure. It relates to your basic needsβ€”think survival, safety, and stability.

Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana): Just below your belly button, this chakra governs your emotions, creativity, and sexual energy. It's about pleasure and how you connect with others.

Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): Right around your stomach, this one is your center of personal power. Confidence, self-esteem, and willpower are all connected here.

Heart Chakra (Anahata): In the middle of your chest, the heart chakra is all about loveβ€”both for yourself and others. It’s where compassion, kindness, and emotional balance reside.

Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): At your throat, this chakra is linked to communication and self-expression. It’s your voiceβ€”literally and metaphorically.

Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): Between your eyebrows, this one taps into intuition and spiritual insight. It’s the seat of your inner wisdom.

Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): Located at the top of your head, this chakra connects you to the universe, spiritual consciousness, and enlightenment.

Explain The Basics: CHAKRA

How Do Chakras Work?

Think of your chakras as energy hubs. They take in, distribute, and release energy throughout your body, influencing everything from your mood to your physical health. When they’re in balance, you feel goodβ€”physically, emotionally, and mentally. But when a chakra is blocked or overactive, it can cause problems like stress, anxiety, or even illness.

For example, if your heart chakra is blocked, you might struggle with feelings of isolation or difficulty in relationships. But if it’s open and balanced, you’ll feel connected, loved, and able to give love freely.

Does Chakra Energy Flow Inside Us?

Yes, chakra energy flows within you. It’s often called "prana" (life force) or "chi" in other traditions. This energy moves through channels in the body called "nadis." When prana flows freely, you feel balanced and vibrant. But if there’s a blockageβ€”like emotional stress or physical tensionβ€”it can disrupt the flow and lead to imbalances in your life.

The good news is that there are plenty of practices to help keep your energy flowing, like yoga, meditation, and breathwork. These tools help clear any blockages and ensure your chakras are in harmony, allowing you to feel more centered and connected in daily life.

Explain The Basics: CHAKRA

Some practice that may include chakra in it:

Understanding Chakras: In Eastern spiritual traditions, particularly in Hinduism and Buddhism, chakras are believed to be energy centers in the body. There are typically seven main chakras, running from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, each associated with specific physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects.

Energy Work in Witchcraft: Many forms of witchcraft involve working with energy, whether for healing, spellcasting, or spiritual transformation. Practitioners may visualize, manipulate, or direct energy in rituals and practices.

Possible Connections: Some modern witches who also work with chakras might integrate chakra practices into their witchcraft rituals. For example:

Aligning Energies: They may use chakra meditation or visualization techniques to balance their own energy before performing rituals or spells.

Correspondences: Each chakra is associated with certain qualities (like creativity, intuition, or grounding). A witch might choose rituals or spells that correspond with the qualities of a specific chakra to enhance their magical work.

Personal Pathways: It’s important to note that the way chakras are integrated into witchcraft practices can vary widely depending on individual beliefs and traditions. Some may view chakras strictly through the lens of their original cultural and spiritual context, while others may adapt these concepts in a more eclectic or personalized manner.

This is your friendly reminder that herbs aren't inherently safe.

Natural doesn't mean Safe.

Lightning is natural. Opium, therefore heroin and opiate drugs are derived from poppies. Cinnamon oil will burn your skin. Lilies are toxic to cats and will cause organ failure. Activated charcoal will neutralize your prescription medications and literally anything else in your system. St. John's Wort will destroy your serotonin production and mess with your happiness threshold if it DOESNT KILL YOU FIRST.

So anyway.

Do some damn good research every time you go to eat, breathe, bring around your pets, bathe in, or smoke something. Be safe please.

"i have the right of way" was a form of protective charm uttered by urban travellers in the early 21st century. They believed this phrase acted as a ward against danger and injury, invoking the divine spirit of 'Traffic Law', one of their primary deities.

Wanna learn energy work? Wanna keep yourself on your toes? Get a rock.

Legit any rock, bonus points if it's got personal meaning. Put it in your hands or in a space where you can see it. Connect to something, like the sun, the moon, a spirit, the earth... Create a circuit, energy goes into you and energy goes out of you. You're not the proprietor of the world, you sustain it and it sustains you.

Find your center point, find the source's center point... Now find the stone's center point. Continue with the circuit. Energy comes into you, leaves you and enters the stone, leaves the stone and back into you, and then back into the source.

The stone becomes more affected and resonant by exposure, now pump it with energy. Give it its own circuit (it takes in energy and sends out energy, sustaining itself) and repeat constantly to just build up the muscle.

You can donate to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund for as little as $1.00.

A donation screen from the PCRF with fifty cents typed into the donation box. There is a red outline around the box and red text below it that reads: Amount must be at least $1.00 [USD].

There is a fee you can choose to apply to cover processing.

A screenshot of the PCRF donation screen. There is text next to a checked box that reads: I want to make an additional donation to cover online processing fees, so that my entire contribution goes to The Palestine Children's Relief Fund. ($0.34)

Which if you choose to do leaves you with a total of ~$1.35 (USD) depending on the type of card you have.

A screenshot from the PCRF donation process with text that reads:

Amount: $1.34 USD
($1.36 USD for AMEX cards / $1.34 USD for Mastercard or Discover cards)

PCRF has a score of 97% on Charity Navigator.

Adults and children alike are currently dying in Palestine due to starvation. (World Health Organization Link)

The Gaza Strip is one of two places in the entire world that is categorized as Phase 5 (the highest phase) on the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification scale.

So even if you think it isn't enough, remember that donating even as little as $1.35 helps! It's $1.35 they wouldn't have had otherwise. So donate if you can. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ

I think if studying the occult has improved any element of my life, it is my wonder at ordinary things. I love being able to see a rock or a plant and know the properties that generations of scientists and philosophers have attached to them. It's a dove, it's a nature Spirit, it's an omen of peace, it's a psychopomp, it is associated with the astral intelligences of the air and Venus and Aries and its entrails can be read to know where to build a settlement. But is also just a pigeon, and pigeons a lovely to see.

Every Late Summer Is A Wonderful Opportunity To Make Rowan Necklaces Strung On Red Thread To Hang In

β€œEvery late summer is a wonderful opportunity to make rowan necklaces strung on red thread to hang in the home and to give to loved ones for the year. Scarlet wool thread can be used to string them, it is easy to pierce the 'sorb apple' through the pretty star on the bottom of the fruit. Hang them to dry in a warm kitchen, out of the light. Wear the necklace when extra protection is needed, taking care to remove it from getting wet.”

- Corinne Boyer, Under the Witching Tree.

(Photo is mine, made this Rowan charm a few days before the equinox, to be a companion during this season 🌿)
