"i brought some popcorn." heeseung says as he sits next to you on the blanket you've layed on the ground.
you had asked heeseung to take you out to the fireworks tonight. you heard it was a good show and you figured it would be fun to do it with your one and only boyfriend.
"yummy." you say, watching everyone scramble to find spots to sit at. you were glad you and heeseung had come a bit earlier and you didn't have to scramble all over the place.
"it is. i even bought a candy apple." your head turns quickly as heeseung holds the candy covered apple up in the air. you raise your brow. "what else did you buy?"
heeseung grins happily, quickly showing you what he bought.
cotton candy, caramel popcorn, and two gatorades.
you couldn't help but laugh at heeseung's excitement. he looked so happy, and happiness sure did look good on him.
"when's the fireworks starting?" he asks, taking a bite out of the candy apple. you shrug, taking a bite when he offers it to you.
"it said when the sun goes down." you say. heeseung giggles before leaning closer and pressing a kiss to your lips.
you flush. you feel your face heat up and heeseung pulls away.
his ears turn red as a lovesick smile finds its way on his lips. "you had the candy on your lips." he says, his eyes not meeting yours.
you smile softly, leaning your head on his shoulder. heeseung pecks your forehead before taking another bite of his candy apple.
the sun slowly goes down making the sky look pretty. you can't help but take a picture. purples and blues fade in the sky. its beautiful.
"the fireworks should be starting soon." heeseung comments. he's scrolling through his phone, and he might be stealing pictures of you too.
you just looked so beautiful, sitting next to him, looking at the evening sky. you had a soft smile on your lips as you admired the sky.
"they should be." you turn to meet heeseungs eyes but instead you meet his camera lens. you squeal and hide your face, a silly giggle leaving your lips.
heeseung snaps another picture of you, laughing behind his phone.
suddenly, everyone started counting down from ten. you turned to heeseung with an excited smile on your lips. you started to countdown softly, grabbing heeseungs hand and squeezing it.
a boom sounded in the air as color expoloded in the sky. you couldn't help the smile that was placed on your lips. your eyes focused on all the colorful explosions in the sky.
heeseung, however, was watching you instead. your looked beautiful, greens and blues shinning on your face. he couldn't help but admire you intead of the fireworks.
you looked so happy, so excited about seeing the fireworks. he'll never forget the smile you had on your face when you asked him to go with you. you looked so cute, so beautiful.
you turned to look at heeseung but was surprised to see his eyes already on you. an even wider smile graced your lips. heeseung wraps his arms around your shoulder and pulls you into his side.
"it's beautiful." he whispers against your cheek. you giggle. "me or the fireworks?" you ask, teasing him.
heeseung smiles, pecking your cheek softly.
"the fireworks, but you're pretty too." he says in a teasing voice. you laugh and smack his thigh. again, he presses a kiss to your cheek.
finally, he turns his attention to the fireworks. the show was almost over but you made it worth it. you snuggled into heeseungs hold and watched the fireworks exploding over you.
you felt happy watching the fireworks in heeseungs arms.
