It's so cruel because now Sun Jae will have to see Sol leave again to go back to her time, and he'll be left with a Sol who doesn't want anything to do with him, all while knowing he'll have to long for her for 14 years before he can see her again. For her it'll be a split second difference, but he'll stare at the calendar, thinking how she's technically nowhere during that time, neither in the past, nor in the future yet. For him it will be 14 years of waiting for her to find him again
