The sight that welcomed you like the afternoon wind as you entered the door to Yeonjun’s house.

You strode past the crown of teenagers, hand in hand with your dearest friend.

You were committed to get Karina and Heeseung together. No matter what nothing could stop you. Not other students, not Jay, and especially not Karina’s self doubt.

You knew over all people that has their hearts swept by Lee Heeseung, your best friend Karina had the most chance. Of course she did. I mean who wouldn’t want her? Seriously if Heeseung decided to reject her, then you would immediately ask for Karina’s hand in marriage. It’s his loss anyways.

You two finally arrived in the center of the room. Your eyes scanned each acute corner, an attempt to catch a sight of a certain faux blonde haired boy (or one of his sidekicks. any of them works fine).

“If it isn’t my favorite duo.” You snapped your head towards the direction of the voice, revealing it’s owner. Yeonjun warmed the atmosphere with his signature smile, triggering a similar reaction from you.

“Junnie hi! Nice party you got here.” You greeted him as Karina did the same. “Oh I was wondering have you seen Heeseung?”

“Oh Heeseung? Yeah yeah. He’s with Jay right now I think. They’re right around that corner near the booze. Go get ‘em and have some fun darlings.” He winked before walking away leaving you to laugh at his last statement.

Fun when there’s Park Jongseong? Hah! like that’ll ever happen.

But nevermind that. Today is about Karina and Heeseung and Karina and Heeseung only. For once today, you’ll ignore that hot annoying bastard for the sake of your best friend’s love life.

You’ll lead Karina there and just ignore Jay. Hold your temper for once Yn it’s not about you today.

Right

You dragged Karina to the said place. Eyes scanning through the series of people before finding your target with one of his sidekicks in hand. “Karina he’s right there. Go up to him now!”

She quickly grasped your hand just as you wanted to push her towards her crush. “Come with me, please? I don’t think I can do this by myself.” Karina pleaded and you knew that you couldn’t say no—not to her.

“Ugh fine let’s go. But you better not back out.”

“Yes I won’t, promise!”

So now here you two were, exactly 2 meters away from Heeseung, who was currently laughing over something with Jay.

You opened a can of beer from the table on your side, taking a quick chug before staking your pride for the sake of your friend.

With the new punch of bravery thanks to a bit of alcohol in your sistem you quickly grabbed Karina’s hand and approached the two guys.

“Heeseung hi!” you flashed him friendly smile as soon as you perched in his line of sight. As usual, the boy quickly sent back a greeting as he asked tried to brew small talk.

Jay could only observe his friend and his nemesis enjoying their little talk, silently rolling his eyes as she didn’t even glance once at his direction.

“Oh yeah Junnie invited me! Oh by the way I’m here with Karina!” As if on que, Karina peeked from your behind sending him a small smile. “Hey.”

You don’t know if it’s the lighting or the alcohol but your swore you saw Heeseung cheeks blooming into a deep red hue, his eyes widening like saucers before replying to her. “Ri-Karina! Hey!”

They stopped talking, only gazing at each other’s smiles as you shared a confused look with Jay, who was currently beside Heeseung.

Then it clicked. You bit your smile back, suppressing the way your lips desired to curl. Jay only looked at your weirdly but you didn’t care you had more important matters to attend.

Heeseung likes her too!!

You screamed internally. Knowing that his reaction tells it all. You were happy that your plan was going to 100x easier.

You averted your attention towards Jay, who was looking at the two with a certain look on his face. You didn’t know what they were doing but it sure looked like they were dazed with each other’s presence.

“So uhm-Anyways. You guys seem to know each other already, yes?” Your cupid heart took the wheel, driving the two couple to their destination.

“Y-yeah. We met at the uh freshmen orientation and we’ve bumped into each other in the hallways a couple time, you know.” Heeseung placed his hand on his neck, a clear sign of nervousness.

“Ahh I see.” You knowingly smiled at the two. “Oh! By the way, Rina you wanted to ask him something right?” You turned your head towards your friend.

Her eyes lit up in remembrance. “Oh that yeah.” She fiddled nervously before asking, “Are you free this weekend, Heeseung? Do you want to go to uhm lunch…with me?”

Finally, Jay took a grasp on what you were doing. You were playing cupid on them.

Just like him.

Jay’s attention quickly ran to his friend. Seeing Heeseunf freeze at the question with his bambi eyes coming into surface.

God dammit Heeseung the girl you like just asked you on a date go say yes now!!

As much as Jay wanted to slap his friend, he didn’t want to make a scene for once. It took all of his self control to not punch the man into his senses and realize what was going on.

Heeseung’s lack of answer drew Karina into panic mode. “Like as a hangout! -uhm u can bring Jay if u want, because I’m bringing Yn here haha…”

Karina swings her arm around your shoulder, laughing awkwardly as you scrunched your eyebrows in confusion.

What?? this wasn’t the plan??? Karina wtf

Your sharp gazed landed on Karina’s but she pretended as if she didn’t notice. What are you planning Rina?

“Oh? Yeah I mean okay, sorry. I’m totally down with that! I’ll bring Jay with me.” Now hearing that answer from Heeseung, Jay wasted no time to furrow his eyes brows at his friend.

Jay was quick to steal a glance at you, who were looking at Karina like she killed your puppy.

Four of you? This weekend? You don’t know how this is gonna go.
