There’s a tremble in your shoulders that he noticed. Your hands were gripping the blanket in such a strong hood your knuckles turned white. Akira’s brows scrunched with concern as he observed more of your actions.

The two of you were at your place for a relaxing day to spend together. You spent time watching a few movies, playing video games, talking, going through the group chat in discussion of the Phantom Thieves’ next heist.

Late afternoon came by when the two of you took a nap together, lying on your bed in a cuddle.

It was peaceful at for the past 20 minutes until Akira woke up hazily to see you. Your breathing was deep, your body couldn’t help but turn over many times.

He reached a hand to brush your hair to soothe you. It already dawned on him that you were having a nightmare. And he already had a feeling on what it was.

“Treasure...” Akira’s smooth voice gently calls out.

That single word was enough to jolt you awake. Startled, you immediately sit back up and dart your eyes around the room for any suspicious movements, face in a slight panic with your body still trembling.

Your lover didn’t hesitate to embrace you, chin resting on the top of your head.

“It’s only me, (Y/N)... No one else, okay?” Akira rarely ever calls you your name unless he felt the need to.

Rubbing a hand down your back, he made sure not to linger on the healed scar for too long.

Your body seemed to ease better once you realized it was only him, and relaxed despite the small tears threatening to fall.

“Just listen to my heartbeat, Treasure. And you’ll know it’s real.” he whispered.

Feeling Akira like this, you’re met from fear to peace.

“T-thank y-you..” you manage to whimper out.

His only response back is a kiss on your forehead.

Oh, I’m fine. To be honest, I’ve just been taking time off from writing because of some writer’s block, unwillingly unmotivated to put thought into text, and other things in my personal life like my side job. I really do plan to get myself back into this blog and my Entwined Hearts story because I do have the same passion for them as when I first started. And that includes making those requests that haven’t been posted yet.

I won’t be inactive indefinitely, rest assured. When I come back I’ll be finishing Entwined Hearts’ chapter 16 first and then move on to write one of the requests. Though I can’t completely guarantee the plan will be followed through.

Entwined Hearts hasn’t been mentioned here before, but I’m glad you and everyone care to read, vote, and comment on it. I’m making sure to update the next chapters soon, at least this October, I don’t plan to take a hiatus from it. The longest I stopped writing for the story was 2 months, and now it’s a year old, around the same month date as Persona’s 25th anniversary that was pretty coincidental, really. It’s still something else when the views on Wattpad go up. 5k readers as of now have impressed me.

And thank you for the reminder of looking after myself. Writing Persona content has always been my most favorite pastimes, for both Entwined Hearts and other works. Balancing them isn’t always easy when you need to focus on one thing to finish it, but I try to maintain everything as steady as I can.

This is the first artwork I have made public as an example to what the Reader would dress like, with me as an example. I was skeptical on whether or not to post it here since I was not too into the results, but I figured why not. Maybe over time my skills will improve; making digital art is different compared to paper to me.

The scent of coffee came through your nose as you took a deep breath. There was always something so warm and comforting about smelling coffee in the morning. And you can’t help but feel a sense of peace from it, it was a welcoming reminder of your boyfriend. You could always find the scent of coffee on him when you cuddled or came beside him.

Rubbing your eyes, you let out a small groan as you stretched under the covers. Your body felt a bit sore last night as you and Ren doted on each other. It was always so meaningful with him, but also as much of a wildcard as he really was. It was those intimate moments where he showed his Joker side in the real world that gave you a thrill every time.

Knowing that the quiet teen was downstairs helping Sojiro, you took a minute to lay on his bed, unmoving before getting up and putting some clothes on. It was at that time you decided to raid Ren’s wardrobe for a shirt.

Your eyes lit up as you found a red oversized hoodie under one of his turtlenecks. Ren had bought it in Tokyo as he needed a change of the typical casual outfits he usually wore. You loved seeing him in it, it matched the aesthetic he unknowingly made for himself. Ren could really pull off a lot of looks if he tried.

Grabbing a hold of the hoodie you eagerly put it on, taking a sniff of the fabric. It was unworn and clean, but still smelled like your lover all the same.

Reaching for your pants, you heard a pair footsteps before a knock on the door. Knowing who it was, you voice a “Come in”, leading to Ren himself going inside with a cup of coffee and a plate of curry.

Ren’s gray eyes could only stay on you as he put the food on his desk. “Hey, Treasure.” he said sweetly in that smooth, deep, gentle voice of his.

“Ren~” you say, going over to wrap your arms around his middle. The noiret returns the gesture, holding you close to his chest as he put his chin on top of your head. He rubbed your back with a hum.

“I see you’ve found my hoodie,” he mused, pulling apart to look down at you.

You let out a shrug, “It was just waiting to be worn.”

Ren gives a chuckle, holding a soft expression. “You’re beautiful in it, Treasure.”

Your face flushes at his compliment. He always knew what to say, the sly flirt. “You say that about everything I wear.” you playfully chided.

The lanky male runs a hand through your hair, face showing nothing but adoration. “Well it’s true, with or without clothes.” he grins at the light smack on his arm you gave him, enjoying the way you tried to stop your cheeks from turning pink. “And you know me…” Ren leans down to your ear. “when something catches a thief’s eye, they take it.” Standing upright, he grabs your hand and gives you a twirl. “I just happened to nab a lovely Treasure in red. My red, that is.”

Ren finally moves to press his lips to yours, kissing slowly. “You’re so adorable in my clothes, darling.” he whispered against your mouth. “Now, breakfast in bed? I have a new flavour of coffee I think you’ll like.”

You let out a warm smile, “I’d love to try it.”

i’m now an arsene stan bc of you SOBBING. I want a thief to pick me up from my balcony and whisk me away into the night.

Really? I’m glad my writing was able to do so. I honestly never expected to influence someone’s interest in a character, especially Arsène, whether it’s Persona 5 or the original source material by Maurice Leblanc. Arsène has always been a sort of underrated character in both fandoms.

In the beginning I thought to just make a P5 Joker x Reader centric blog because I loved the franchise. And he was a character who I was confident enough to write about, despite being controlled by the player, he does have his own personality and characteristics. There was also the fact that I wasn’t really into a lot of other fandoms/characters that didn’t catch my interest or motivation. It wasn’t until other writers from Tumblr and AO3 wrote about Arsène and Sataneal that changed my mind. They’re much better at writing those two than I am (including being especially slow in updating).

The thought of a love story with a thief who lives in a more different and adventurous world is kinda cliché but also a compelling fantasy.
