I sat on my bed as Amara held up Two outfits for me, Since I had never gave a single boy my time. I had in turn, never gone on a date before, sure I went out with my friends. But never in a romantic setting, she was more nervous than I was for my date. Once she had finally chosen which outfit I would wear, I put the finishing touches on my hair that she had twisted for me. It was around 7:30 when we heard the doorbell, I grabbed my purse and started down the stairs. I could hear my mother talking to Billy and laying down the rules, I smiled as I came into Billy’s view. 

“You look Gorgeous” He said, I chuckled and sighed.

“You don’t look too bad yourself” I responded, I gave my mom a hug before walking out to Billy’s car with him. He was gentleman and opened the door for me, it was cute, he even dressed up a little Bit for me. He was wearing an ironed baby blue button up shirt and his black jeans, he got into the drivers seat and pulled out of the driveway.

“So where are we going Billy?” I asked him, he smirked and licked his lips.

“Well it may seem a little tame but we are going skating then for dinner” He explained

“Well Mr. Hargrove I love tame, but I don’t know how to skate” I replied, he looked a little shocked and laughed. He pulled into a parking spot and turned off the ignition.

“Don’t worry gorgeous I’ll be your teacher” He retorted, I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the vehicle. He followed my actions and walked with me into the rink, it was very colorful and was full of life. We walked over to the shoe checkin, I Handed them my sneakers in exchange for some skates in my size. Billy and I sat down on the seats next to the rink entrance, he laced himself up then proceeded to help me lace mine up.

“Billy I know how to tie laces” I proclaimed smiling, he was smiling and rolling his eyes. It was very endearing to see what a genuine smile looked like on him, once he finished lacing me up, he offered me a helping hand to stand up. 

“Come on sweetness, let me teach you how to skate.” He cooed, he led me to the rink as my balance was unsteady. He helped me slowly go around the rink twice before he decided to let his cocky attitude shine through. He let go of my waist as I held onto the wall, he skated out in front of me and turned so he was facing me. 

“You sure do take long to learn, and here I thought you would be an easy teach” he jested, I rolled my eyes and reached out for his hand. I really didn’t want to fall, it was hard to even keep moving.

“Oh sweetness do you want me that bad? I promise you can get a taste later.” He joked moving farther away from me laughing as he did so. I took a deep breath and tried to move a little faster towards him, until I was pushed over. I fell on my ass and it hurt like hell, Billy scrambled over to help me up. 

“Billy Why would you want her? She doesn’t even speak” A girl said, I flipped her off and used the other hand to hold onto Billy’s shoulder.

From the moment I met Micheal, I knew that I would always love him, but as time passes and his fulfillment of the end of the world nears I find my heart wavering. All his time has been consumed with fulfilling this mission, I told him that I wanted to start a family and watch our kids grow up. But I won’t be able to do any of that with him, he is more concerned with making his father happy. Though he doesn’t know what else to do with his power, I want to talk to him more and try to get through to him. But he is always at the cooperative having meetings and “handling business “. He has missed our last two date nights it’s starting to get on my nerve. I can only take so much distance and lack effort before I explode. So now as I walk through the cooperative building to Michael’s office, I’m at my limit. The only sound heard through the crowded halls was my boots clicking against the floor as everyone watch me walk. As I approach Michael’s office door it opens before me, exiting the office are two males who appear to be high. They look me up and down before they start attempting to hit on me, I roll my eyes and walk into my husband’s office. I am not met with a smile, a hello, or even a wave, instead, I am met with the mastered voice of intimidation.

“What are you doing here?” He questioned me, I scoffed and walk up to his desk.

“You and I need to talk” I state, he finally looks up at me. I place my purse on his desk and take a seat on the chair opposite of him

“What could be so important that you couldn’t wait until I come home?” He asked me in a condescending tone.

“When was the last time you were home?” I corrected, he simply raised his eyebrows in annoyance.

“If you’ve come to start an argument with me about my work in my office. Then you can go home now because it won’t happen” he dismissed me, and I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

“Darling, I came to have a simple conversation with you because you can’t seem to find the time anymore to sit down and talk to your wife. You are too busy fulfilling everyone’s needs but mine, you used to be the best partner a woman could ever dream of now you’ve just turned to shit.” I hissed at him, he didn’t say anything but he stood up and walked over to my chair. Once he was directly in front of me he bent down close to my ear.

“We can talk about this at home, go home before my temper gets the better of me” he reprimanded, I sighed and leaned back.

“Michael, I’m not your little fucking follower. I don’t have to listen to you, you don’t own me. So I’m staying right here so we can have this conversation as husband and wife. Not man and his whore.” I scoffed, he stood up and leaned back against his desk before making eye contact with me again.

“Okay, darling what is so important that you had to come and cause a big scene at my place of work?” He pressed

“Michael, why are you rushing to bring the end of the world to fruition? Why can’t you take your time? I have told you countless times that I want to have a family with you and be able to watch them-“

“So you came to my office to whine about me fulfilling my purpose? Here I thought you would support me in my dreams, but you came here to try and convince me not to do what I was put on this earth to do. If that is all you came for, you can leave now” he cut me off, I was upset but moreover, I was disappointed.

“Michael, I hope you find all the joy that you are hoping for in your dreams. I hope that you find someone to share that joy with too. I can’t and won’t be that person, I’m going back to my true home. You should be happy, you won’t ever have to hear me whine about your purpose.” I said standing up to gather my things. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to him.

“Darling don’t be silly, you were made for me. My joy is your joy, you are to stay on this earth until we are both ready to go” he demanded

“Honey, I was never made for you. I am an angel, you are an Antichrist. If you won’t even hear my comments and complaints out to their entirety then don’t complain when I chose to leave you here. You want to crush my dreams so bad that I don’t even want to share my dreams with you anymore. I have loved you for years and I will continue to love you for many millennia but I can’t stay with you if you are interested in crushing what I want” I berated, I pulled my hand from his grasp and picked up my purse.

“We can talk about this Angel, how about we go out to a nice restaurant somewhere secluded? We can talk over everything, tonight” he pleaded, his demeanor had changed now. Standing before me was now the scared, empathetic Michael Langdon that I fell in love with.
