My fear, when I first saw the first scene, was that he was going to jump from the roof into the empty pool(I’m not sure if it is).

come up with whatever theories you want about this prologue but listen

seokjin is always getting forgotten and ignored. seokjin is always shrugged off because he doesn’t have the most vocal lines and his dancing isn’t perfect and he doesn’t rap either. seokjin is always the one who fades into the background and is outshined by the other members, whether or not he’s meant to.

but in this, seokjin has the full stage, he’s the one that has everyone’s attention. moreso than anything else, i think that this is supposed to highlight how important jin is to bangtan. how jin is the glue that holds bangtan together, the person who bangtan can depend on. 

a lot of these oldest members are like that, they don’t show up much and they don’t catch much attention. and seokjin really fits the stereotype. but this is almost as if to say “bangtan isn’t anything at all without our seokjin. please don’t leave him behind or forget about him. he’s precious to us.”
