I do not have the energy to make this look nicer but i felt i needed to get this out or it would consume me.

I have been feeling an immense amount of rage and grief lately and this only encapsulates some of my thoughts

My dad was dealing with some mixed feelings so I told him "In therapy when something is too complicated to do a simple 'pro and contra list' we sometimes do an excercise where you imagine all these mixed feelings around a table in some kind of conference, letting each tell their bit and you leading the debate."

and my dad didn't really respond and just stared ahead so I kept preparing lunch. Until a few minutes later when he suddenly piped up: "I am having a bad time at the conference"

Lumberjacks forget but the tree can never. Hitting, no matter how rarely it happens still causes trauma. Still harms the child. Still teaches that hitting is ok. Which in adult modern society? If you hit someone you’re getting charged with assault. So no. It is not normal. No matter how much the older generation want us to think it is.
