I loved the first part of SIGN so much. I already have so many thoughts about ittttt. So go away now if you don't care for an unorganized, early morning ramble (that will soon be joined by a reblog when I've listened to part 2).

I'm so elated that my theory about Mariana being this adaptation's Mary Morstan. I based it on her mentioning her father a lot, especially the convo between her and John in GLOR felt like foreshadowing. A little disappointed that they don't get to bond in grief.

Emery has already solved the problem of adapting Tonga, which i applaud him for. Leaving Tonga for later would make many sherlockians worry about the portrayal.

Also, how terrible for Tonga to actually be a child!!! Well done, Emery, I'm sad about it.

What if the man who had a heart attack on the bus (from ep. 1) was Captain Morstan? Or someone else important to the case? (I don't remember if he survived 🤔)

I hope we're going to India to give the treasure back, instead of letting it lie at the bottom of the Thames.

SPOILERS for the sign of four part 2.

So the thing that I can't get over about the episode is that Sherlock a known insomniac, who is VERY yoused to not being able to sleep. This is something he warned John about on day one and it is somthing he is well aware of.

The KNOWN INSOMNIACS reaction to the VERY common occurrence of "oh I can't sleep" was to go to Johns room.

And John isn't fazed in the slightest, he just tells Sherlock to sit down and helps him work through his thoughts.

This leads to the very obvious conclusion, that quite often whenever Sherlock the INSOMNIAC can't sleep he just goes to Johns bedroom.

And that wasn't the most gay part of this episode!
