"Something is bothering you, want to talk about it?" Dream says watching Y/n quietly as she pulls the grass off the ground.

"There's nothing bothering me..."

"Come on, you need this."

"It's just... it's been a rough week, and I... just wanted to get out of here." Dream watches Y/n's eyes fill with tears.

Matthew had already informed the dream that he had seen Y/n frowning for days on end, but he wanted to hear it from her.

"I think…you should prioritize yourself now." Dream says closing closer to Y/n.

"Like this?"

"You're always thinking about everyone, doing everything for everyone and you end up forgetting the most important thing, you." Y/n listens attentively to the dream words.

"But...they need me." Dream pulls a tree leaf out of her hair.

"Well, they'll have to bide their time." Y/n looks down thinking "Or I can disturb them in your dreams"

"Let's avoid this." Y/n speaks and they both smile softly.

"You can't even imagine how important and special you are, but maybe one day you'll understand that." Dream says making Y/n blush.

"And this softer side of the lord of dreams and nightmares?"

"Only for the future queen of dreaming."

"Where are you going?" Bucky says, making Y/n stop putting clothes in his backpack.

"Don't worry about it Bucky, please just go back to sleep.'' Y/n says looking into Bucky's eyes.

Bucky was very confused, things seemed to be working out, he really thought that now she was going to stay here with him and Sam, but here she is, running away in the middle of the night.

"Can't you wait until dawn at least?" Buchy says sitting on the edge of the bed, watching her close her backpack.

"You know I can't, I just…need to get out of here." Y/n says sitting on the bed and rubbing her face.

It's true, Y/n never stayed long, when they asked for her help, she never refused, she always did her best to help her companions, but soon after she would always leave.

But Bucky really thought it would be different this time, he wanted her to stay so badly, he wanted so badly for her to want to stay there, with him.

Bucky got up from the bed, and moved to sit next to her, with his shoulders pressed together, he looked at her with all the affection and love in his eyes, she was looking at the hands that were in her lap, when Bucky saw that Y /n didn't pull away, carefully took her hand, and intertwined their fingers, Bucky felt his heart going to burst when Y/n laid his head on his shoulder.

"I love you so much." Bucky says leaning his head on top of Y/n's.

"Bucky don't do this." Y/n whimpers, letting out Bucky's no, and getting up from the bed.

"I just want you to know that." Bucky says looking sadly at Y/n, who leans against the wall with his arms crossed.

"I love you too." Y/n says after a while of silence.

"Then why are you leaving?" Bucky says feeling his eyes water.

"You know that wouldn't work Bucky." Y/n says in a choked voice going to bed and picking up her backpack.

"why wouldn't that work? Please explain to me." Bucky says taking Y/n's wrist as she walks past him.

"Because I couldn't bear to lose you too!" Y/n says brusquely, causing Bucky to go silent.

Y/n lowers his head and starts to cry, Bucky slowly pulls Y/n to his chest, giving her time to pull away, when she doesn't, Bucky holds her in his arms feeling her crying in his chest.

Bucky finally understands, Y/n had lost many important people in her life, she was afraid of losing one more, that's why she never stayed long, she didn't want to get attached to people, only to have to lose them later.

"I'm sorry my love, I'm sorry." Bucky did by kissing the top of Y/n's head with his eyes closed.

"I can't lose you Bucky" Y/n says still in Bucky's chest.

"I can't lose you too doll." Bucky responds crying.

The two hugged each other for a while, crying and not wanting to let go, not wanting to lose each other.

"You don't know how hard it was for me to have you so far away from me, you don't know how much I wanted to have you in my arms." Bucky says holding Y/m's face and kissing his tears gently.

Y/n looked into his eyes and saw nothing but desire, love and longing.

"How are you still not sick of me?" Y/n says sniffling and smiling sadly.

"I've never loved anyone like I love you, understand that? I've never thought about anyone as much as I do about you, I've never cared about anyone as much as I care about you." Bucky says smiling sadly.

"I understand because in the time I was gone, all I could think about was you." Y/n says smiling, Bucky's hands go from her face to her waist, and Y/n's hands go to Bucky's face, who closes his eyes enjoying the affection.

"Was this old man here a lot on your thoughts then?" Bucky says laughing, making Y/n laugh too.

"You can not imagine how much." Y/n says softly pulling Bucky's face into a slow, loving kiss.

Bucky felt totally on cloud nine, and he wanted to stay there forever.

"Thank God, I could hear your screams from inside my dreams." Sam says leaning against the door, causing Bucky and Y/n to break the kiss.

"Now you're just being dramatic." Y/n says laughing and wiping her face with her hands.

"He's a lost man without you Y/n believe me, now please do what you need to do in silence, fatal couple." Sam says, and then yawns and turns away and goes back to his room.

Bucky looked at Y/n with all affection, she turns her gaze to him, and then he smiles softly and takes both of Y/n's hands.

"Let's run away." Bucky says, and Y/n's eyes widen.

"Now?"

"No doll" Bucky smiles fondly

"Right after this mission, we're going somewhere quiet, just the two of us, no hero stuff, no crazy space villains, just you and me." He says caressing Y/n's cheek.

"Are you serious?" Y/n says with eyes shining.

"Totally." As soon as Bucky answers that, Y/n jumps on his neck hugging him as hard as he can.

"I love you." Y/n says into her neck, and Bucky smiles happily hugging her back.

Bucky felt that in that moment he had the world in his arms, because she was his whole world.

"I love you so much too, now please let's unpack these bags and go to sleep." Bucky says feeling Y/n let go of his neck.

"Finally!" They hear Sam scream.

"Are you listening to our conversations?" Bucky asks in disbelief.

"It's inevitable, I'm sorry." Sam responds, making Y/n and Bucky laugh.

That night the two slept peacefully, knowing that no matter where they went, if they had each other, everything would be fine.

Sumarry – The dream king feels jealous for the first time when Matthew talks too much.

Pairing – Morpheus/Dream X Reader | Word Count – 769

A/N – This is my first time writing for Dream so please forgive me if it's awful.

"Where's your human, boss?" Matthew asks following Dream through the throne room.

"My…human?" Dream asks looking at Matthew.

"Yes, Y/n isn't it?" Dream turns his face at the mention of his name.

"What do you mean?" Dream asks with a cold expression and Matthew almost regrets bringing it up.

"It's just that I haven't seen her in a few days and…she was always with lord-"

"She's been busy lately, and she's not my human, she doesn't belong to anyone." Dream says turning his back and walking.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Matthew says softly, but feels despair when he sees Morpheus turn to him again.

"What did you say!"

"Forgive me master I- I didn't mean to offend you sir"

"Then why would you say that?" Dream says approaching Matthew who takes a few steps back.

"I just- I saw her with a guy a few days ago. so I-".

"Did you see it? Why didn't you tell me?" Dream says in a softer, almost… sad tone.

"I don't know, I just... I must have forgotten, forgive me master." Matthew says and Dream doesn't respond, just turns around and sits in the stairs.

"Leave me alone now Matthew" Matthew leaves without another word.

Dream continued to sit there, trying to understand what was happening, why this sudden sadness? Why this sudden desire to see her and…have her exclusively for him?

"Sir?" Lucienne says entering the throne room.

"I need to sort out some things, please take care of everything until I get back." Dream says, walking away without waiting for an answer.

See, what a proud and arrogant dream we all know, but that jealousy was greater for the first time is news to us, and to him.

Yes, he wants so badly to ease this anxiety out of his chest that he can't wait until nightfall to maybe see her, so here he is, in front of his favorite cafe, where she would probably be right now.

"Oh now I see, you are going to go talk to her." Matthew says landing next to dream.

"Who gave you the right to follow me?" Dream says still looking at the door of the establishment.

"I'm not following you boss I'm...supporting you sir."

"Very well, then you will support me out here." Dream says and enters the cafe without thinking too much, not to give time to give up.

Dream looks around, and lets out a sigh to see Y/n sitting at a table with a book in her hand and taking a sip of coffee.

"May I sit here ma'am?" He says approaching the table.

"Dream..." Y/n say almost in disbelief that he was there in front of her "Of course, sit down."

"Did I do something wrong sir?" Y/n asks putting down the book.

"Why would you think that?" Dream says sitting in front of her.

"Because this is the first time you've come to see me in the waking world."

"I don't see you in the dreaming anymore."

"Did you miss me?" Y/n says amused and sees Dream look away.

"But it seems that only I missed you." Y/n looks doubtfully at the dream.

"What you mean?".

"I feel like I'm being replaced, and I hate that feeling." Dream says staring at Y/n.

"I don't understand..."

"You're seeing someone else aren't you?"

"Of course I'm not, but where did you get that-" Y/n stops talking as she looks to the side and sees Matthew at the window. "I think I understood..."

"Who is he?".

"My brother." Y/n says quietly taking another sip of her coffee.

"His brother?" Dream says in disbelief.

"Yes, and he would be honored to know that the dream king comes to the waking world because of him." Y/n says smiling and Morpheus snorts.

"Actually, I came here because of you, and as soon as you told me his name, I would give him horrible nightmares." Y/n laughs harder and dream looks at her fondly.

"That was a little misunderstanding, caused by someone talking too much." Dream says and looks at the window where Matthew was, who flies with his master's gaze.

"Feeling better now?" Y/n asks smiling to dream.

Dream gives a slight smile with his mouth closed, and reaches out to take Y/n's hand.

"Will I see you tonight dear?" Dream says caressing Y/n's hand with his thumb.

"It sure will." Dream gets up from his seat and goes to Y/n kissing her forehead and cheek.

"See you later, my love."
