Thinking about Jess dying
Amd not being upset at all that she's dying.
She's upset because of who's killing her. Someone who once took So Much from her, she's upset because there's so many things she never made right.
She's upset because as she Desperately tries to remember those she lost to make sure Someone still knows she realizes she Can't.
She's upset because she's leaving the hand alone.
But she's not upset by dying.

We're in Rafah, bewildered about how to escape this nightmare. Rafif sustained a minor injury to her foot, and she's scared, wondering how we can evade death.
