Thank you for tagging me, @verbenaa !! I'm happy to jump back into these- I have more to catch up on, but as I was just writing last night I feel inspired to post! ❤️

The following is from Chapter 8 of With Stars to Fill My Dream! Coming out Sunday! It may be a few more than 6 sentences long pls forgive me ❤️

Their eyes meet and Ofelia’s face twists in anger, fists clenched, one gripping the hilt of her dagger. It’s comforting in her palm, and even the bite of the grip doesn’t dissuade her. The pain grounds her, halts the tilting of her vision, and paves the path toward control. Her breathing trembles out once, and then she takes a deep pull of the air as the sun emerges from the clouds to burn her fear away.

“Sister?” She mutters, gently placing a palm on Astarion’s shoulder to have him move to the side. He obliges, watching intently. “You have the nerve to call me your sister? After everything you’ve done?” Max blinks at her. There’s a flash of uncertainty in his eyes, and it’s just the fuel she needs to dip further into her reservoir of pent-up rage.

I've always really enjoyed writing, but I honestly hadn't written anything in over a decade. I've had the urge all these years, but my mind was just not in the right place to have faith in myself or the self-confidence that I had the ability to actually create something that anyone would ever like (myself included).

But last year, I started really feeling that urge to write multiply. So when I started playing bg3 and naturally, found Astarion--a character who I feel a really deep connection with and relate to many aspects of his personal struggle/healing journey--I was just really compelled to take a leap of faith and actually write something.

It was nothing much, just a warm, plotless, smutty oneshot--but it was the first time in a very, very long time I actually created something!!! I never even intended on posting it, but after it was all said and done I decided to really push myself and post it publicly. I figured that if even 1 person enjoyed it, then it was worth it. I expected literally NOTHING, no kudos or comments or hits, so imagine my surprise that all these wonderful people showed up and read and commented and gave me kudos 😭

not to be dramatic but this community literally changed my life and I love you all!!!! I might be a slow writer these days (I've been sooo busy recently), but my silly little stories mean so much to me and I can't wait to keep writing them.
