"She kind of ruined my life, Nate..." Tessa sighed, "Even before the solver fully took over... She kept doing things that got me scolded and locked up, and then I had to start doing the same to her..." She hugged herself, realizing what had happened. "I promised myself I'd never become my mother, and then I did... I did the same thing to the poor girl.. and the solver took her over because she was alone and scared... She probably saw it as the only way to save all of us.." She looked down at her hands, "and... I disobeyed her... and I went to the gala... she was going to spare me and you and J... she was... and then..." Tessa started crying a lot, finally realizing it was probably her fault. "She adored me... she saw me as her big sister... and I let her down, and then she turned into a monster.... this is all my fault."

He opens the door excited "...are you able to fly? I know were there's a store"

"I couldn't ever be annoyed at you," she said, wiping away digital tears, "I wouldn't ever want to..." She smiled through the sorry, "I... I think I needed to talk about this, but, I didn't know I needed to. I wouldn't want to talk to J about this stuff," she built up her courage to say the name of the drone who took everything from her, "Cyn... and the solver, they abused poor Jay bird too... she abused all of us... me, you, V, Jaybird... everyone... it was horrible..."

She hugged Nate from the side, reassuring, "But we're free now, like birds, we're free now... and safe, and that's the most important thing."

She knew this was a lot more than she could handle, but she didn't care. She started grabbing rocks and throwing them down in to a near by pit to clear the way. "Hang on, Nate, I'll get you to safety!"

She had heard some noise outside of the landing pod and she went to check it out. RoboTessa ran to the side of the cliff where the noise came from. "NATE! OH MY GOODNESS!" She exclaimed as she ran down a less steep grade of the embankment. "Are you alright?" she asked as she ran to his side

She inquired softly, "Go back?" before asking in response, "Like to the manor, or what remains of it? Gosh no,"

She hopped off the store counter and offered Nate a hand to get down. "If you mean back to J's, then probably... I just want to grab a few more things and..." she saw a blue metallic pen with engraved birds on it with the word "bluejay" on it. "I need this. I need this for J," she went back over to help Nate after pocketing the pen and doing a little jump of excitement

She answered the door to see who it could've been at their pod at this time of day. "Oh! Hello there!" the Aussie drone greeted sweetly before she turned around to call out to her favourite drone, "Jaybird! We have a guest!"

Jpeg hadn't heard much from J in a couple days, not since she had been over to drop off a few things at the landing pod. She had been worrying a lot about if J was alright with her side project, but now she had gotten a text saying to bring a harp.

Ms Jpeg didn't have access to the high school side's harps, but she was able to grab a 15 string harp from the elementary band room and had brought it just like J had asked of her. She knocked with her hand that wasn't holding anything on the landing pod door rapidly, worried if J was even still okay.

"What if she is starving because she hasn't come by for oil? Oh dear! " she thought before the teacher pushed her fears away, "And if she has to drink some of my oil, so be it, she's my friend and anything to keep her alive."

Jpeg really cared about the disassembly drone that had tried to kill her years ago in the big arts and crafts store, and she was ready for almost anything J could ask of her. I mean, she was a teacher, she was asked for things all day.

"No, I am aware," the robotic version of Tessa responded reassuringly, "you knew that I was the reason they were protected from Mother and Father."

Tessa giggled a little at the memory, "I remember you then, I don't understand though why mother got so mad at me doing the same thing." She laughed a little more, "Gosh, I'm sure I probably caused a few of her grey hairs," she offered Vanessa a hug. "it's great to see you again, Vanessa,"

The brunette security drone would just sigh... hand Tessa a thermos of oil, and calmly signaled for her to go.

"Just... don't wander so closely to the camera room next time, alright... kiddo?"

She wasn't sure if this was actually Tessa or a facsimile, so she was being a bit standoffish for the time being.

Vanessa wasn't about to say that J already knew who she was... since she thought it was better to let Tessa figure it out and remember on her own.

Being the sole security drone in the manor was a complicated operation. She had to keep the workers organized and in check, especially when Tessa's parents were not home... while juggling other duties like pest control and keeping an eye on the kid as well.

That night though, she wasn't there... technically. She could still remember when that body went offline suddenly as something suddenly cut through her core.
