You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

Hi! Hello! I'm Darkness! Darkness Moonlight Morningstar! Yes, Like Lucifer. I'm his great grandson. No, not from the future. I live in 2024, same year as you guys, probably same day if where following the same callendar. Time in Hell doesn't trully matter but I enjoy keeping track of it for my own sake. Plus, I have a birthday to wait for too! Which Hell you ask? Good fucking question, I have no idea. All I know is that it is somewhere in the DC multiverse, particularly far away on the border. Like, we're basically our own thing by now, the only thing keeping us from drifting away from it is the fact we're some variation of the Lucifer Netflix series that went horribly wrong. Not in the sense of tragedy, but in the sense everything now is basically unrecognizable. It's very, very canon divergent. Trust me, you'll forget we even are connected to the DC multiverse like these Batmans and Robins and Constantines around this hellsite (why is there so much universal convergence here?...) until I mention it again.

So, why am I here? Simple. I got a problem. As you probably saw on my bio, I am not.... the most demonic demon out there. Why is that a problem? Well, I'm the damned prince, literally. I'm supposed to inherit the throne of hell once my dad gets bored of it. And you know? I got expectations on my shoulders because of that. Because this wouldn't be the Morningstar family without trauma now, would it? So, since Twitter is way too intense for me still, I decided for the safest smutt-ridden, deranged, senseless hellsite I could think of, because I find Tumblr to be quite welcoming most of the time. And because on Twitter I would be called 30 types of slurs, and I want help on becoming more demonic, not more unconfident.

Please, let's keep the respect going around here. I'm not a lust demon. My boyfriend is. Summon him all you want, but leave me out of this!! In fact, I'm very much asexual thank you. (Yes that does leads to problems with my boyfriend, but we can deal with that in particular withou your prying eyes. He may show up sometimes though). Does someone know why suddenly so many rp accounts of live action characters that seem to speak the same Arab (or they so claim it is. It looks like italian) language?

Half the time it looks like a thirst trap spirit took over their blogs and that is scaring me a bit...
