My Own Conspiracy Theory Is That Conspiracy Theories Are Intentionally Spread By The State Actors They
My own conspiracy theory is that conspiracy theories are intentionally spread by the state actors they target in order to misdirect people. That's what the "alt-right" (aka fascism) is entirely based on.
What they think is happening:
Conspiracy Theorist: "I don't trust the government. They're doing bad things."
Rational People: "You're wrong. The government are the good guys. They would never do such a thing."
---
Whats actually happening:
Conspiracy Theorist: "I don't trust the government. They're doing bad things."
Rational People: "Yes. Absolutely. The government is blatantly doing bad things on a regular basis and they're not even trying to hide it. Here's a list of all the bad things the government is doing. They'd have no motive to be secretly evil when they can easily get away with being blatantly evil."
Conspiracy Theorist: "That's just woke propaganda. I don't believe anything that poor people, people of color, or any other marginalized group say about the government. They're just criminals or lazy moochers. But this unproven theory about a secret that the government is keeping? I believe it."

Meta identifies networks pushing deceptive content likely generated by AI
Meta (META.O) said on Wednesday it had found "likely AI-generated" content used deceptively on its Facebook and Instagram platforms, including comments praising Israel's handling of the war in Gaza published below posts from global news organizations and U.S. lawmakers. The social media company, in a quarterly security report, said the accounts posed as Jewish students, African Americans and other concerned citizens, targeting audiences in the United States and Canada. It attributed the campaign to Tel Aviv-based political marketing firm STOIC. While Meta has found basic profile photos generated by artificial intelligence in influence operations since 2019, the report is the first to disclose the use of text-based generative AI technology since it emerged in late 2022. Researchers have fretted that generative AI, which can quickly and cheaply produce human-like text, imagery and audio, could lead to more effective disinformation campaigns and sway elections. In a press call, Meta security executives said they removed the Israeli campaign early and did not think novel AI technologies had impeded their ability to disrupt influence networks, which are coordinated attempts to push messages.

Given your "grand leader" comment I'm not sure you got what I'm advocating for right. I'm certainly not advocating for unelected officials, I'm advocating for no (or only where strictly necessary) officials. Instead of electing (presumably knowledgeable) officials who vote on legislation or sign executive orders, the people vote on legislation and executive orders directly, hopefully taking into account the proposals of (presumably knowledgeable) commentators. The important difference is this is a minimal-trust system, which avoids putting power in the hands of people who won't answer to you for years (as you said yourself, socdems aren't all that socialist when actually in government) (technically permanent elections or widespread enough revolutionary sentiment would achieve a lot of the same goal).
This absolutely doesn't mean you have to know everyone or come to an agreement on everything, just as you don't currently do so when electing officials. You just vote on whether you want to increase funding to hospitals (probably yes), or military aid to genocidal foreign powers (probably no), or you might do some kind of ranked choice vote to decide on a screw shape to standardise. Are most people qualified to make an informed decision on their own concerning that last one especially? Probably not. Can they consult opinions of experts and vote accordingly without handing anyone the right to screw them over? I think so.
