*And One night you were having a hard time with the terrible vomiting of pregnancy. And Itachi, like the loving and protective husband that he is, was by your side comforting you and holding your hair so it wouldn't get in your way. Your beloved partner was so focused on you that he did not notice that his son was at the entrance of the bathroom door watching what was happening.

*He only became aware of his son's presence when he helped you up because your body had been very weak.

*He could see the worry and fear in his son's eyes, the little boy was worried about you, his loving mother.

*After helping you get clean, he took you to your shared room to tuck you into the soft bed, after making sure you were comfortable and that you were asleep, he went to where his son was. When he approached his son Itachi's heart ached, his child looked like he was about to cry. With quick steps he approached the small body of him to hug him.

"Do you guys want another round? It's on me," Laxus asks the group. Everyone is celebrating a job well done. Something the Fairy Tail guild does quite often.

You're sitting with your friends Juvia, Gray, Natsu, Lucy, and Erza. Gajeel sits beside you, making you feel all flustered. You're hoping your nervousness isn't apparent to everyone.

"I'm so glad that job wasn't super dangerous," Lucy breathes a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, no kidding," you agree with her.

"I'm just glad I made enough money to pay my rent," Lucy says.

"Your place is super nice! Such a comfy place," Natsu announces. You hear Lucy grumble as Natsu describes all the cool things Lucy has in her apartment.

The night drags on for some time before everyone decides it's time to go home. It's late, and most people want to get some rest. You indeed weren't an exception to that. You gather your things, and you're about to head out when you hear someone clear their throat loudly behind you. You turn to see it's Gajeel.

"Do you want me to walk with you?" he asks.

"Oh, uh, sure," he had surprised you. But the idea of Gajeel walking you home sounded like the perfect way to end this blissful evening. So you finish gathering your stuff, and the two of you walk out of the guild's doors.

Much like the party, he is beside the whole walk. You chat about the job and about your lives. He talks about how when he gets he'll have to hear a lecture from Panther Lily. You chuckle at his stories.

Sadly, before you know it, you're at your doorstep.

"Thank you for walking me home, Gajeel," you say, standing at the front step.

"Of course, any time," he says. He then begins to back away from you as if he's about to take his leave, but you grab his arm, stopping him. "Huh? Is everything alright?"

"Uh, yes, I just..." you hesitate with your question. "I was going to ask you why you wanted to walk me home."

"Oh," he utters. He must not have expected your question.

"You don't have to answer the question," you raise your hands and shake them to indicate that you can drop the subject.

"Well, I don't like the idea of you walking down the streets all alone," he admits. "I don't like the idea that something may happen to you."

"Oh," you whisper, and you feel your cheeks get warm.

"Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow, Y/N," he says and backs away again.

"Yeah, see ya," you wave as he leaves.

As Gajeel gets ready for bed, he remembers what happened earlier that night. Walking you home. He finally got up the courage to do so. He'd never fully admit it, but ever since you started walking home late at night, he's been worried about you. He knows you're strong but can't but feel nervous. Gajeel looks at the sleeping Panther Lily and gives him a soft pat on the head.

Gajeel climbs into bed and begins to drift off to sleep. Then, he begins to see you. You're walking the dark streets of the town on your own. You look cautiously around you as you pass a dark alleyway. The dark alleyway seems to have darkness that reaches out to you and grabs at you. You try fighting it off before it grabs you and drags you into the alleyway. You scream out for help and scream out for Gajeel, but you're taken away.

Gajeel wakes up from the nightmare in a cold sweat. The dream was so vivid; it felt so real. He sits up and looks at his hands, which are shaking uncontrollably. He brings them to his face as he wipes the sweat from his forehead. He climbs out of bed and looks at a clock. The time reads 3 a.m. He can't stop shaking. He's never felt so scared.

You pry your eyes open to hear knocking on your door. You glance at your bedside clock at it's 3:20 a.m. Who could possibly be at your door now? You get up from your bed and go to the door and open it to see a distressed Gajeel. He wastes no time in hugging you close to him. In your tired state, you try to process what is happening, but you can't help but hug him back. You hear him mumble to himself about how happy he is that you're safe.

"Uh, Ga-Gajeel, what's wrong?" you ask, and he lets you go.

"I had a nightmare about you, and I wanted to make sure you were alright," he explains. You feel your cheeks grow warm.

"O-Oh, uh, I'm okay," you aren't sure how to respond to a confession like that. But then, you hear him pant loudly, and you feel bad that he rushes over just to ensure you are okay. But the thought made you happy as well. "Do you wanna come in for a minute?"

"Are you sure?" he asks, and you nod. He steps inside, and you go to your kitchen to grab you both a drink. He takes a seat at the table, and you give him some juice you have in the fridge.

"I wanna say," you begin, and his eyes fix on you. "That it made me kinda happy to know that you worry about me." He doesn't say anything, so you decide to continue. "When you walked me home, it made me happy, too. All of tonight made me really happy." He puts his drink down and rubs his head right between his eyebrow piercings. You hear him sigh, and you feel your heart begin to break. Thinking you blew your chances. Then you listen to him chuckle. He then puts his hand down and gives you a more serious look, which surprised you.

"Honestly, Y/N," he starts. "I've been pretty worried about your safety lately. And for some reason, I can't stop thinking about you...I can't." His confession really takes you by surprise. "I just want to be around you and keep you safe, ya know?"

"Yeah, I understand that," you say quietly.

"Anyway, that's what's been going on with me," he says, trying to play off what he just said. You grab his hand and squeeze it.

"Thank you, Gajeel," you thank him, and he gives you a confused face. "I...I feel the same way about you." He gives you a handsome smile. You lean towards him, give him a peck on the cheek, and see his expression change to a smirk.

"Oh? Well, you're bold," Gajeel teases you. Your cheeks really grow hot now. "I like that." And he grabs your chin and kisses your lips.
