Correction No. 2: So it seems he was on an actual scooter as in a small motorized cycle and not a kickboard? At this point I don't know what's what, but the fact is...he fucked up. And it could've been a whole lot worse because drunk is drunk. Even if you're someone who "holds your liquor" well, your faculties are still impaired and usually, when you're drunk, you can't judge how impaired they are. He could've hurt himself badly or hurt someone else and that would've been a genuine tragedy for all involved, not to mention it would've been the end of his career, at least in Korea.

So now of course the vultures are circling in full force and there are demands for him to be kicked out of the group, which...I can't take that too seriously when "netizens" demand idols be kicked out of groups for smoking a cigarette or having a girl's picture on their phone. But when it's BTS, the pitchforks and torches are really out. I feel like there are people who have just been chomping at the bit for any of these guys to fuck up, and now they think they've finally nailed one of them and they're not going to let go. And Hybe is just doing a terrible job at managing the situation.

Anyway, I love the guy and I'm endlessly grateful that nothing worse happened. I hope someone is giving him a big hug. I'm really feeling for him right now and I'll be sending good thoughts and hoping this all quiets down soon. 💜
